well i am no longer waiting for the JB in my country an decided to get the UK Jelly update but first i installed the MB2 and then the uk mc8 and i can tell you that is great so far!

Which jellybean is lagging the one made official by samsung for upgrade through the phone itself or the jellybean from an external source(samfirmware)flashed to the phone??

Jelly Bean baseband version I8160XXMD4 is better than Portugal Jelly Bean (TMN),but it consumes many RAMs, I experienced bad lag when streaming YouYube (picture almost not responding, but the sound was keep running) several hours ago till my device restart itself, at that the free RAM is a little. After restart, I tried streaming YouYube again, it was normal again, but there was a little lag (Gingerbread is faster). I think that's influenced by the RAM too.

Jellybean on my Samsung Galaxy Ace 2
My experience so far is things seem to be working ok.
Facebook slightly slower to startup but no big deal.
What is annoying is the texting app built in when using predictive text input none qwerty (3x4 layout pad).
It now has NO add word option.
Can everyone please complain to Samsung about this as not everyone uses Qwerty or Tap Tap Text input.
Anyone who knows if there is a way to add a word while typing without going out of the app please advise me and everyone else thanks (only those using the official jellybean update please).

bern, 30 May 2013quick question, when upgrading to JB, are apps,messages fil... moreAs far as i know there are 2 type of updates .
one is OTA (over the air) which is done by phone software update .
second is using full update like flashtools which would be available with samsung .
Kies also update ,but before update it does ask for backing up your files .
so no need to worry your data files does not get affected , but if in case data lost you can restore it using kies restore and data will be avaiable in your new OS jelly bean .

Yes, for update, Samsung takes too long time, but my experience using Galaxy Ace 2, I like the service center that serves me for upgrade Jelly Bean for my device requested me to wait for 20 minutes.

i agree with you about samsung slow update issue .
but samsung has quality which is being maintained from long time .
we have tools available on google to troubleshoot very deeply until it's required to visit the service center .

Samsung indonesia dude.. they have the update but releasing date is december or 1st quarter of 2014.they need time to check if j.b has a bug.samsung will release it but its to late for us. Samsung are slow in giving update.. if we buy phone and we only hold a promise . Please think twice because my experience in samsung they are to slow. Sometimes the update take 1 year or more in releasing it.. samsung center are useless in other country they did not know the latest news about our phone..

Got mine 2 weeks ago and encountering intermittent on/off situation. I always see this message @ the top left of the screen whenever it's about to go off [Oops! Kernel panic. Please connect phone to PC. Enable capture and press the volume down key to get the kernel log. Repeat if required]
Plsssss, help me stabilise my fone.
