the update is very good but phone speed is a little lower than 2.3.6 . you can download the rom from sammobile.com and install it by odin .

      How to upgrade the Android in Samsung Galaxy Ace 2?

        Well, after downgrade to Gingerbread, I use firmware of Gingerbread Russia (SER). A little hard to back to Gingerbread my country (firmware XSE). Downloaded at www.samsung-updates.com, most of them only have MD5 file only without CSC file. Overall, Gingerbread firmware other country I use is work fine.

            Yes u can play this games on your ace 2! On my ace 2 i have installed frintline comando and dead trigger, drift mania 2 and i play them with no lag! I have the last gingerbread. If someone can confirm the same thing on JB becouse i want to manually update to JB!

                                  The ace 2 is a delightful phone to work with, superb display, etc, etc. but i don' t know how to explain that samsung chose gingerbread and not Ics out of the box; Jb consumes so much resources so it would not run as you' d expect if you like to press hard on your phone capabilities as we do it right now.
                                  Ics should have gotten the ace 2.
                                  It's an amazing phone thus couldn't assimilate jb flawlessly nor futher heavier android versions.
                                  besides this, the ace 2 is the chief of small phones behind the S3 mini and equala to the S7562 duos God bless you.

I had tried Portugal official Jelly Bean, it made me dissapoint because of the lags I experienced. Now I prefer Gingerbread on my Galaxy Ace 2, If I would like Jelly Bean, I think I should go for Galaxy S III Mini, etc.
