The ace 2 is a delightful phone to work with, superb display, etc, etc. but i don' t know how to explain that samsung chose gingerbread and not Ics out of the box; Jb consumes so much resources so it would not run as you' d expect if you like to press hard on your phone capabilities as we do it right now.
Ics should have gotten the ace 2.
It's an amazing phone thus couldn't assimilate jb flawlessly nor futher heavier android versions.
besides this, the ace 2 is the chief of small phones behind the S3 mini and equala to the S7562 duos God bless you.

I had tried Portugal official Jelly Bean, it made me dissapoint because of the lags I experienced. Now I prefer Gingerbread on my Galaxy Ace 2, If I would like Jelly Bean, I think I should go for Galaxy S III Mini, etc.

I am not rich people too. Me, when the company doesn't want to give the update, it's OK. I don't blame the company, nothing perfect. When I can afford to buy Galaxy S III Mini one day, I will choose it or maybe I choose Galaxy S III if the price go down more 70% for example.

(samsung indicAted it in their ads) then they told us that they will be skipping it and move directly to jelly bean. nOw where's that pRomise? its already a year old phoNE and jelly bean is aBouT to be faCeD ouT. Im sick and tired of using GB for the last 2 yearS, i never should have bought a brandnew phone with the same ouTdated oS as the sGA1.

Anonymous, 15 Apr 2013Samsung is so slow in giving an update here in the philippi... moreYou think Samsung is slow in giving out updates? You should try other brands like LG or Sony too... :)
I certainly agree with Nikidroid. If you want JB, then get a device which already has it on in the first place.
FWIW, updates are not made overnight and shipped the next day. They are also tested and validated first, and more so with those rolling-out on carrier networks. Also, updates could cause more problems than they are worth (i.e. try googling feedback for early adopters/users of SGA2 on JellyBean and you will see that they are mostly not happy) so there is probably good reason why the updates are delayed.

I've recently seen the same problem. My wife's SGA2 was bought last December, and during a trip they took last weekend, some of the photos (maybe 2 in 100) taken with the SGA2 appeared with grey lines/squares/cuts in them. Currently using an Apacer 16GB class 10 card on it. Tried other mSD cards too. The problem appears random though, as video captures and photos are captured normally all this time.
