vipin, 24 Jan 2012Ace is very good phone on this range , its all feature is g... morewell for battery u can use juice defender plus if u have rooted ur phone then set min frequency to 122 or 245mhz and max to 480mhz and governor to powersave or smartassv2.when not in use..so then phone will always operate at min frequncy..this may help in increasing lil bit of battery

All apllications is good hence battry back up could be
increase if we use some important apllicatons like batrry booster and battry saver and if we use gsm/cdna
mode it consume more battry .....so keep try to use in gsm mode and do packet data off when you not use it.....as per my view its good phone...in the price.manish

irfan, 24 Jan 2012guys please tell which one is best???galaxy ace or sony eri... moreace is the best phone in its class. ace will cost you around rs 13k whereas neo v will cost you around 18k.if you want to save some money go for ace.if you hve a good budget go for neo v..neo is having Hd recording,1 ghz, bigger screen,bravia engine,512 ram, more internal memory than ace,also a secondary camera.and an update to 4.0 android.

id recommend potential buyers to not waste money on this phone,once buy SE xperia mini or live walkman or nokia 603 .ace get slow after few month ram and gpu is bad

upgraded to 2.3.6 using firmware from singtel. wifi connectivity and media sound seems to have improved. Yet to see if there is any improvement on battery life. Downside is that it does not render devnagari script. so cannot read Nepali text on the web. Opera browser does a very poor job of rendering it. Now the indian version of firmware is out, it might solve the problem.
Despite people creeping about how SGA is not the phone to buy, I feel it is a good phone if you are not much into gaming. It has provided me many many hours of distraction over the three months i have used it. It is indeed a pleasure to use SGA.
I have also used Defy and X10i, I still feel SGA is better in terms of agronomics and user experience if not in terms of specifications.

But Ace 5mp is better than neo v's 5mp when taking still shots... i.e ace captures more detail... but ace records @ 640x480...
Buy the neo v... :-)
