Anonymous, 19 Nov 2011should i buy Galaxy Ace or xperia Ray?i spent 10 month with SGA, i just want to say you you purchase any devices but if want real enjoy of android than should find this specification
1.at least 1500 MAh battery if you get more than it its good for you(because android running more than 5 application in background)
2.more internal memory and ram last at 512 enough.
3.if you are a gamer than combo of 512mb memory,512 MB ram and should be with 1ghz or 1.5ghz processor
4. i suggest galaxy s,Motorola defy also use phone finder for value of your money

For mid-range phone, check out Samsung Galaxy W. It's far more superior than Galaxy Ace.

samsung galaxy ace is a nice phone but some users are experiencing some problems.Let me give you solutions to your problems:
Battery discharges frequently:-
-Please uninstall apps like task killer,task manager etc.use only the system task manager.
-close all the apps/games you are not using/playing through system task manager.It will reduce pressure on CPU and ram usage.
-Set brightness level of the device-0.Don't worry u will still have enough brightness.
-Install juice defender ultimate and set the level to extreme.
-always turn off GPS,Bluetooth,wifi etc. when not using
-turn off packet data when not using internet through data plan.Tip-press and hold power button and select to "deactivate data network mode".Press again if u want to use internet through sim(packet data.
-Do not install too many apps and widgets because you do not need all of them at the same time.Make a folder and put apk files there and install what u need the most.
Sound is low:-
Sound with handsfree is very loud and good.Install poweramp for best experience(use its equilizer settings to set bass,treble levels and also presets).Without handsfree use Volume+ (Sound Boost).
Pricing:-
Very good.one of the best mobile phones in this segment.
Games:
some HD games can't be played on ace but in my opinion if u want to make ur phone's life and battery to last longer stay away from those games and samsung made it compulsory for all samsung galaxy ace users.haha!!BTW you can play most of the best games like angry birds,cut the rope,robo defense,x construct,puffle launch,fruit ninja,fruit slice,heavy gunner,gt racing,asphalt 5 etc.If you are a game lover then buy a xbox 360 or Play station 3.Only that will satisfy you fully.For mobile buy xperia play.
Camera:
Picture quality is awsome but video recording is at 15 fps.Install lgcamerapro and record video at 30 fps.hurray!!
For other problems:
select any mobile in gsmarena and you will find at least one problem with any mobile(even the best one).Use it as a phone and you will be happy and satisfied.

mine is at android 2.3.7 cyanogenmod 7.1
and i had it stock firmware at android 2.3.5 but its really fast
