I think the Galaxy Mini needs more memory because the processor is only 600 MHz.

By the way I purchased my Galaxy Ace using a credit card that is why the price is 16,990 Php.

      @Epstein:

      Thanks for ur valauable reply. Most of us in India are eagerly waiting for this mid-rangde Android Phone. The only annoying point is its RAM size. If it is going to released with the same spec then we need to go for this model only after its survival in the market ?

      Genuine users can keep on posting here about this mobile's performances so that everyone can aware of this ?

                  Maddy, 02 Feb 2011Hey friendz if dis phone has oly 278MB RAM wil it really go... moreHi all, I've just bought my Samsung Galaxy ace 2days ago. And these are the Pros: 1.) touchscreen response is perfect 2.)at 800Mhz/ 278MB RAM, speed is really better than the previous 2 Samsung galaxies, No " Hung up" encountered.3.) Android apps... Wow greats!, there's alot of apps to choose. 4.) MP3 & Video ... is ok... 5.) youtube video.. running ok.. Not buffering(but depends on the speed of your isp) 6.)Display UI, well not bad for affordable price like this. 7.) GPS .. working perfectly .. And the Cons: 1.) No secondary cam for video calling 2.)Samsung should also include in the accessories a protective shield for a display like this which is prone to smudges and fingerprint, specially right now this is a new phone and no shop to buy for protective shield for galaxy ace. the one that they have has a printed character, not a useful one. 3.)Camera LED flash ... is not really flashing, it's just like a torch that turned on. 4.) Since the CPU is a bit faster... and so with the battery life also runs faster to drain (that's if you run all the features like wife,gps, android apps at the same time)... I leave the rest to you to discover.. try it... =)

                    Maddy, 02 Feb 2011Hey friendz if dis phone has oly 278MB RAM wil it really go... moreHi All of you!!!
                    Actual Total RAM is 512 RAM but since system also occupies RAM, User Available RAM is displayed as 278 MB. Remaining RAM is used by the system. Trust me this 278 MB is good enough to run Android 2.3 also.
                    I am running rooted Galaxy Spica(I5700) with Android 2.2 and it has only 160 MB RAM in Total. With this much RAM it runs very good.

                          1. How the screen behaves in sunlight visibility ?
                          Not too visible
                          2. Is there any FLASH Support ?
                          Depends on the browser being used
                          3. How about camera and video quality ?
                          I am not really good at using Cameras as I hate pictures (Personal issue). I will have my friend test and judge it.
                          4. How about the phone's backshape ?
                          If you check the review here on GSMARENA, click on the second picture, that is how the back look like, not the one on the 360 view

                            @SAP
                            1) Does the screen supports multi-touch ?
                            Yes
                            2) Is it scratch resistance or not ?
                            Not sure. I wouldn't test that. Ha! :D
                            3) Does the phone has supplied with leather pouch ?
                            Nope
                            4) How about the music quality (both with handsfree and in speakers )
                            Speakers: OK but not that really loud. And the sound quality depends on what surface you put the phone down as the speakers is at the back.
                            Handsfree: It comes with the Standard Samsung HF. haven't used it yet, maybe later after work.
                            5) How about the battery performance ?
                            I haven't really noticed but I have charged it only once since purchased last Wednesday. I have been downloading stuff, performed a complete restore, I have changed and used live wallpapers, played a music album hmm... what else... I have been doing a lot of stuff with it actually :D

                              @Epstein :

                              Before this model, I had a soft corner for Wave-II and that's why I have compared these two models. Yes I too agreed that wave-II is bit costlier than Ace !!!

                              Ok..coming back to ACE :
                              1) Does the screen supports multi-touch ?
                              2) Is it scratch resistance or not ?
                              3) Does the phone has supplied with leather pouch ?

                              5) How about the battery performance ?

                              Since you are using this phone for some days , I am raising lot of questions to you and sorry for the same. Please take some time to answer my questions ?

                                I am not really sure why you are comparing Ace with Wave-II, they are not comparable. Wave II is a lot more expensive. If you have money to spare go get the Wave II.

                                      I was more attracted to the design of this phone. But spec wise to Wave-II .
                                      I believe both will be avbl in India some 1000 + bucks difference .

                                      Also bit confused whether to go for Samsung ACE / WAVE-II ? Can the owners of both the phones guide us as most of us have the same confusion...

                                      Can someone please confirm when this model will be avbl in India and at what price (approx) ?
