Go do that, knowing that it was xmas, so i made quite a few calls and messages, and an Alpha doesn't have airwakeup which i use pretty often, that you don't use a Gear watch paired with your phone and you don't have a FHD screen.. And seems like you don't even use LTE network. The list can go on but not wasting my time anymore with you. I got pretty close from endurance test of GSMA seems like it btw.
To others, i'm not saying that an Alpha is bad, but comparing S5's battery to an Alpha is irrelevant.

10 hours stand by with 8min. of screen on time , and only 5% drop

they just don't worth it.
-Mediatek is giving a hard time to manufacturers for its drivers so generally no OS updates (XDA/needrom don't count, it's no real support to get buggy roms).
GPU part is weak for gaming and even for modding (like a nice full resolution custom boot animation).
-GPS takes too long to lock (if it succeeds).
-And GSM/LTE Frequencies need to be verified carefully/tested with your carrier before getting troubles with calls or disconnected from GSM network anytime randomly (happened to me).
Else, it's cheap but new Snapdragon 410 phones for low range devices are a better deal.

After s... moreUnlike many people commenting, i like testing and owning several phones at the same time (not carrying them in same time off course) so that i always have a spare phone and different phone usages. So when i'm saying something about a phone, it's not a biased opinion.

I just got my Samsung Galaxy Alpha today in Gold and I must say I coldn't have been happier. Before I bought it I had read tons of reviews and user comments, also tested it in the shop. But nothing that I've read compares to the feeling of actually holding it yourself.
I must say I am very happy with the battery life. It came with aprox 60% charged and I used it for 4:30 hours straight before it was dead. There is also no problem with the heating and I absolutely love the screen. It's extremely soft and there are no finger marks after you touch it.
All in all, I am more than satisfied with it. The only thing is that I wish is that it was water rezistant. I give it 90/100.

yuri, 22 Dec 2014Z3 or Z3 Compact The best choicethe galaxy alpha is bad no doubt but so is the z3 i have one and a month in it has two problems the phone would not switch on the cammera screen would not open and the phone also it would not work and the phone was stuck in rebot and kept doing it over and over until it was hot enought to fry a egg on it so i had manuly switch it off to stop it reboting and also i then had to to wipe and restart the phone from scratch on my pc DO NOT BUY SONY THIS IS FROM EXPERIENCE FROM SOME ONE WHO HAS HAD SEVERAL OF THERE PHONES ALL ARE HORRIBLE!!

What is a Phone without the possebility to make a call? Useless. Samsung, you have to repair this very soon. So many people having this problem.
