Galaxy Alpha is by far the best phone I have owned. And I have had quite a number of the top Android phones over the past years.

Why do you criticize the "QUAD CORE" when it is actually OCTA? Yes, read the specs - 8 cores.

S5 stands no where near alpha in terms of looks n performance... though price is a bit high but thats ok for a phone this great...

without using any power saving ,
disabled some apps and turned auto sync off for mail.
exynos 5430 is much better in battery life than snapdragon 801 & 805
exynos 5430 is 20 nm arch. and it use 25% less battery and gives much better performance .
donnot forget that , alpha is faster than other phones in terms of charging time also ,
in just less than 100 min. it charges from 3% - 100 %

i have compared color tempreture , gamma, delta E RGBCMY etc.

battery Mah is less but it has ultra power mode which make phone usable for more than one day...some heating issue is there as obvious in samsung phones.But it looks premium phone in hand.....

Since when Im saying the Alpha has worse display accuracy compare to S5.
if u compare over all spec interm of hardware value between S5 vs Alpha,
The Alpha should be sold at little bit lesser price than S5.(reduce a small amount of dollar)
Im sure that 1080p panel is more costing than 720p because of higher pixel density(more material).
If Samsung want the Alpha to be 2014 success,the price should be slightly lower S5 and can bring back customer confident to Samsung.

i have compared display of alpha and s5 , u will notice resolution difference only if u check very deeply .
other than that , display of alpha is more accurate and superb eye candy color reproduction .
overall display is better than S5.

You see now...Iphone 6 GPU ,the A8-PowerVR GX6450 able to produce more than 150 Glops at 500mhz.
Thats why APPLE always win in GFX bench test and the gaming
performance smooth like butter.
The Ipad 4(dual core cpu) was 2 years old but playing Modern Com.5 at very
impressive frame rate compare to nowsday middle range SOC device.

Very impressed with GFXBENCH 3.0/TREX 2.7 manhattan result for Alpha but only one thing Im strongly disagree with the price was same with S5 just for the 720P phone.
Im just checking wikipedia.com, Mali 628-MP6 able to produce 122 GFLOPS which very very powerful gpu for small mildgle range phone.
As typical,Samsung has weird pricing strategy.Its should $70-$90 cheaper than S5 ,than I can consider a good purchase.

battery is just 1860 mAh but still it last long more than s5 which has 2800 mAh .
2.1 mp front ,
but s5, z3 also got 2.1 mp
and iphone 6 , lumia 930 just have only 1.2 mp
only quad core ? lol can't u read ? its octa core chipset ,
and its Exynos 5430 , which is much better than Galaxy S5 which is Exynos 5422 .
and Alpha is king ,
my galaxy Alpha scored more than 51,000 on Antutu ,
can any other phone beat this right now ?

Before launch of alpha, there were many criticism about battery of 1800 mah , is there any one bought this mobile and having g a problem of battery life .....

finally i have decided to keep Alpha with me , and give iphone6 to my sister .
As in my iphone 6 there is only 12gb space available out of 16gb with no otg support ,
its very less for me .
while on my Alpha , more than 25 gb is available plus otg support .
personally i liked Display of my Alpha more than iphone 6 .
So go for the Alpha Gold color , its looking like gold jewellery in low light areas
but i will miss ios apps , same apps are much better on ios than android

Camera of alpha is better than iphone 6. Its shape is better than galaxy s5. Its battery backup is better than galaxy s5. It is faster than iphone 5s. What else you want guys. Go for ir. The best ever smartphone by sammsung.
