AnonD-396546, 14 Jan 2016When is 6.0 or 5.1 coming to alphaI think 5.1 lollipop update for alpha is not going to happen. They only have the 5.0.2 lollipop update for alpha.
As for marshmallow, samsung already confirmed that the alpha will have it soon. Hopefully soon. Hahaha…

I get update to 5.1 and it works great. I only notice that there is about 5% less battery time, but that is ok.
In my opinion, Alpha is by best Andorid phone with money = performance ratio.

tired of waiting for new updates..works greater after rooted my galaxy alpha g850f and installed ozcan aroma (s6 themed) custom rom...^^

Been using alpha for more than a year now. I don't like it, heats up too fast, drains the battery too fast, lags most of the time, it freezes, shuts down on its own, and the screen turns rainbow then gets mirrored or become negative in color. The only solution to return it back to normal is to remove the battery for a few second and turn it back on; but after a few minutes of using it again, the same problem occurs.
Part of the screen doesn't respond to touch very well.
I turned it too tech support but their tech support is useless.

Anonymous, 10 Jan 2016SM-G850F doesnt have developer options and has 1860mAH batt... morejust go to "about device" in setting menu and click "built number" 5 time or so... (since some settings of developer options can mess up your phone little,samsung hid the option as default...)
just go to developer option and limit background process to 2 or 4 and you should delete unnecessary apps and install greenify or task killer apps.. ...im having 3-4hours screen times by straight usage

SM-G850F doesnt have developer options and has 1860mAH battery if i have 100% battery its gone in 1-2 hours someone help should i buy new battery or maybe my phonr is replica idk that.

kiro , 04 Jan 2016My samsung alpha lags in fifa 2016 why ??It runs smoothly on a phone of my friend so i think u got to much virusses. Install 'Eset' from the Playstore to remove them and don't open to much apps in one time ;)
