Do Samsung cont... moreBought one at Jumbo electronics Mall of the Emirates UAE 2 weeks ago - but am trying to work out which chipset it has. Very happy with the Alpha because it was a reluctant replacement for the good old Galaxy 2. Caution - paid top dollar which is hard to justify when the A3 n A5 are sitting next to it at half the price, (with smaller RAM, non removable battery, smaller camera etc etc).

How can I tell if my Alpha has Exynos 5 Octa 5430 or the Snapdragon chipset? My model number is SM-G850F and i bought it in the UAE, (Middle East). Any one know?

Has any1 encountered "Camera failer Error" please suggest some tip to fis this.
I tried clearing cache and restart but still getting the error after 2hr. Also, uninstalled camera related app but no success.

Which android version did you use? I upgraded to android 5.0.2 official and found some lag.

What is the custom rom support on this? I'm not a big fan of touch wiz and I've read on XDA that there are only two really good ones for this phone. Let me know what you guys think. Thinking of upgrading from HTC one m8 to this.

European 850F lollipop is even better than kitkat. I got it in the US though...

G3 ... morebut i rather recommend s5 than g3 because g3's screen resolution is too big and it weighs gaming performance greatly(benchmark result of g3 is also relatively low for high end device) WHILE s5 has Same cpu chipset, lower screen resolution(snapdrogon 801 lose performance(mostly gaming) in screen resoution higher than Full HD, g3 have Quad HD) and it's waterproof
