Hii Rajat,
This isn't possible that your device is lagging bcoz of lollipop update notification. Cause of lagging might be due to other sources like the Buggy Apps that you may have recently installed etc.
As i too have the Lollipop update notification but i didn't upgrade yet as Kitkat is just flawless.
if you don't want to upgrade do one thing Go to Settings > About Device > Software update & untick Auto Update & wi-fi Only options.

I was facing problem in my alpha sm 850y of hanging or lagging the update of lollipop has been arrived in my handset I have not updated it should I was facing this problem because of not updating it . I was fearing that if I update and the set slow down tell me any one about the review after update

While having Kitkat on my Alpha, I can use usb OTG, but after upgraded to Lollipop, nothing happened. Doesn't recoqnized at all.

Can anyone tell me how to check if my Alpha has the Exynos 5430 or snapdragon chip? I read Samsung have used both in the Alpha but I dont know what to look for in the 'about device' menu to confirm which chip is in my phone.

anas, 07 Aug 2015I have poor ram management, battery no improvement.Upgrade to Lollipop and also downloaded 'Battery Doctor' app today, (from Cheetah mobile [?] and it's free in Google play store) one of these actions appears to have solved all my battery problems.. yesterday a full charge was lasting about 10 hours, today it's more like 20. I activated BD two or three times to 'optimise' things and it closes of all the idle apps and everything runs smooth. Very happy now. Good luck.

1. Both have sexy luck.
2. G3 has a better cam(Alpha also does...but not as good as G3)
3.G3 support SD card.
4.Snapdragon 801 is better than Exynos 5430.

this phone is SO FU*KIN AWESOME
before i bought it i was concined about battery life because i read a lot of bad comments but it is deffinitely longer than on galaxy s3 which i used for year and a half. overall, this is the best phone compared to prices given out there. if you'rein doubt whether you should buy it or not, deffinitely go for it!!
