this phone is SO FU*KIN AWESOME
before i bought it i was concined about battery life because i read a lot of bad comments but it is deffinitely longer than on galaxy s3 which i used for year and a half. overall, this is the best phone compared to prices given out there. if you'rein doubt whether you should buy it or not, deffinitely go for it!!

I am using Galaxy Alpha from more than 8 Months and using Lollypop from 15 days.
And i would say overall Update is good and you should update to the lollypop.
Performance is still same as litkat , apps launch quickly. Animations are smoother now , Performance is head to head with my friend's galaxy S6.
Battery life is still same as kitkat.
White ui of lollypop is better for sunlight visibility
Camera is still same
All features from kitkat is still there on lollypop . Nothing removed
Fingerprint scanner unlocks phone quicker than Kitkat , and i always use That scanner.
Bugs are
1 - after heavy multitasking , Minimized app Closes due to poor ram management .
2 - after connecting headphones , i am listening music , and still that (Recommanded apps ) notification coming after several minutes . May be its due to that Default app (Recommanded apps) is not optimized for lollypop.
3 - Default bowser is worse on lollypop , In websites ,it takes my touch input after half of second . It makes me to use google crome
Any one is having this same bug

iAbhishekh, 05 Aug 2015Definitely Alpha , Comparing to Alpha A7 is just a midrange... more1 more thing ,A7 doen't Even got Notification Led , from rear it looks like Grand type (Cam speaker flash at same line :D) , plus A7 doen't have 4k video , And other features
Alpha is anytime anyday best
A7 is shit ,if anyone want Phablet , galaxy note 3 is much better choice in almost same price.

Alpha has Fingerprint and Heart rate sensor which A7 doesn't have. Plus Alpha has an Octa Core chipset which has over 50K points in Antutu, while A7 only have 26k. On the darker side , The battery is quite disappointing , But you can buy extended 2500mah battery pack from Ebay.

I love this form of... moremine never freez or restart like yours, maybe you should try cache cleaning and freeing ram etc and if the problem persists over few week or a month, use your guaranty to get other alpha or get other phones(i love my alpha(rooted) but i dont recommend anyone to buy it)

The phone is beautiful sleek and metal. I love this form of galaxy alpha.. but anyone can help me why my galaxy alpha always keep frezing and restarting? Im already complaint to samsung service centre and they reboot this handset to kitkat 444 but still freezing.. and restarting sometimes i pull the battery for restart.. anyone have an idea what i must do? I still have 11 months guarantee from samsung indo

Dont get me wrong the Z3 compact is a great phone but a couple of things annoyed me. You can't have individual message tones for people and the notification and ringtone volume cannot be adjusted separately on the Z3,you can on the Alpha. The screen is a little bigger on the Alpha and I found the messaging better too. I was previously using a Samsung so I preferred the way the Alpha works.
