On Samsungs you can download .apk with fonts, install and apply them without rooting.

First of all i want to tell you that i am not using the same as it is not available in my country (India) in any of Samsung store or on there official website.
I think 2,500 mAh battery pack is a good choice if it's a genuine one for adding extended battery life. Also it may ruin the sleek looks of ALPHA (as you won't be able to use original back cover) & if you can compromise on the same then you are good to go.
However if you want my honest opinion i highly doubt on authenticity of Alpha Extended Battery Kit which is being sold on ebay, amazon etc.
So please make sure that you are buying genuine one before placing order.

Keep in mind that new gadgets will be released in 2015 and lower prices on last years models further.
