This Andriod handset is best option for BB users with good consumer feed back and response. I like this for great applications and games support with affordable priced and loaded business features... I like it for great qwerty keypad support.

i have been using this phone for last 10 months and i am a very heavy user. been a qwerty user for last 5 years along with Androud user for last 3 years on another phone. so i would like to give feed back from both perspective.

Go for it if you are a blackberry user in past but now ditching it. but u wont get real time sync on emails.. yes it lags and sometime active sync dont work as per the expectation. i know this is not something on regular android phone but this one has this strange problem.

Network is weird ~ this phone sucks big time in getting back on network once it loses it. use to be be good in ICS but got worse with JB

Games work but lags i am sure u r not expecting anything better either. this is not a gaming device with a pathetic hardware spec and screen resolution.

physical keyboard: the usp of the phone quietly has a huge design problem ~ it does not have arrow keys. if you can live without it, its perfect for you.

            battery: sucks .

resolution : not upto the mark but does not matter for business users.

should you go for it? yes if you want qwerty experience on android as there nothing else close to it , by any standards currently. its the best among all sub standard qwerty android phones.

No one has yet cracked the art of making qwerty phone for android.

I am seriously considering this phone,I would much rather prefer the keypad as opposed to touch type, being a BB user and knowing that android is the next step this would be an obvious choice, for a starter on android?

As a BB user i am obsessed with QWERTY, but i needed a new phone and wanted to ditch the BB as there is no BIS in my country and only get to use full potential of my BB when i am at work where there is WiFi so the Galaxy chat was the most economic alternative and i am happy to own own for just $124 and judging by your reviews am sure i got myself a good deal- thank you

You type in the password or pin and then press the return key, which is the arrow key on the bottom right side of the keyboard.

Iela, 25 Aug 2013I'm considdering buying this phone. Want a qwerty, liked m... moreI also want to say that with the Gmail application, I do get e-mails instantly. I would assume that the e-mail application for any account would be based on you how you set it up to receive and how often. Sadly, the future for Blackberry is in question. They made a mistake by making the Z10, Q10 and Q5 to want to get android and iphone users versus satisfying their core Blackberry users by keeping the dedicated send/end/return/menu keys on the Q10 and Q5. They would have been smarter to only come out with the Q10 and Q5. I think they will survive but the android alternatives may also be questionable for the candybar form. The flip or sliders just aren't the same as the candybar qwerty phones. This B5330 is the best alternative I've found because of the screen size and memory. I hope Samsung continues to make new phones like this in the future. Most blackberry users prefer the qwerty keyboard versus touchscreen. I do, as well. May your decision work out for the best for your needs.

Iela, 25 Aug 2013I'm considdering buying this phone. Want a qwerty, liked m... moreI am a long time BB user and recently got this phone. I think it's worth it for you to try it, since it is inexpensive and is a good alternative. The keyboard is not as good as a BB and you don't have the BB server for seamless internet. I use the Gmail application for my gmail accounts. It does have a mail application for any pop/smtp accounts. You do get a better a browser and the keyboard is fine, unless you have large fingers. The google voice application works well with this phone. I can't say if it will cost you more. 2GB per month should be enough for e-mail but I don't know how much you go on internet. I would test it before committing to it. I think it's worth the attempt unless you want to invest in the Q5 or Q10. I have a BB 7980 and will say that the simplicity of the BB OS is better than android. Over time, I believe that I'll get used to the android. The idea is to switch from the BB7980 to the B5530.

Yes, it does have the auto reject function. It has an auto reject mode and auto reject list in the settings.
