No jack and no card slot is the downside of this device.

I don't see a smartphone, what i see is a foldable tablet with an external screen.

I'm getting Nintendo DS vibes on that design especially the grey color.

Great kickoff to a new era of the way we use smartphones by Samsung, appreciated the effort. Other manufacturers will follow the trend most importantly to give us cheaper option.

I love the concept but, this will not be my next phone with no SD card port, no headphone jack ( I could overlook this) and a front display that is not the full screen it is not worth the 2K price tag. Also it would be nice to see the in display finger print reader built in.

The price tag is very hefty because Samsung is not able to make very many of these devices and they're ahead of the competition with this product. As time progresses and more manufacturers make good foldable phones, prices will drop significantly (Apple excluded probably).

My s8 plus has a higher resolution than that and my 6 years old Ipad mini 2 has like a 6000mAh.

Samsung has been working on foldable displays for a decade.

                              2021 - Apple's revolutionary iPhone that folds!

This is NOT going to be my next phone by any means. For $2,000 dollars, are you getting me? I don't even want an iPhone X or Xs for $300! LMAO! But I've been very impressed from what I've seen from a first-gen device.

I've been waiting for a device like this for many years and I feel it's now become worth the wait. Looks very, very polished for a first-gen. But for $2K? Hell no.

We all wait until they become cheaper and cheaper which coincides at the tech getting better and better. Let the early adopters waste money being guinea pigs. Can't wait what LG and the Chinese OEMs have in store. The Xiaomi one looked very promising.

R.I.P. to iPads and every tablet out there.

I wish the successor to the Nintendo Switch can be that way. Foldables would be great for handhelds too.

4380mAh battery only for so large thing and then it dont have even 3.5mm jack. Is fold mechanics take so much space from the thing for these 2 thins ? It should have 2 phone size space for one phone.

This phone is amazing, really! There where some false rumors this could look like the Axon foldable device, but they where wrong! It is expensive, but it is a new technology. The next generation will be cheaper and better in every way.
                                  Hats off to Samsung!

The phone is OK, better than other attempts but there 2 things that I don't like, the small front screen with a huge unusable space on the top and bottom, it should have been better with a 21~27:9 aspect ratio screen, something the will be like the S9 in terms of screen to body ratio. Also i don't like the huge corner notch they used, I don't know what they placed in other than the cameras but if they had made it smaller, that would be nice!
Anyway 1 other thing they could do to make the device more awesome, is to use a fast charging tech like the supervooc 50W, which splits 25W(5V, 5A) to the 2 batteries inside the phone!
