[deleted post]I have read bad and good about this phone. What other problems does it have besides the battery only lasting about a year? Do lots of people have problems with it switching off unexpectedly? Can one not get the batteries in SA? Thanks

I agree with the battery swelling, mine started to grow after ~1 year of use, had to buy a new one.

i had gio s5660 it install application on the phone memory due to which my phone memory is fuul ..i dont know how to convert it into sd card plzzz any one who tell me how to convert it into sd card ?????

Do not buy this phone. The battery lasts 14 months and then it starts swelling. Mine swelled up so much that the back cover pops off if you try to put it back on. I swear if I were to charge it now the battery would probably explode. And I can't get a new battery for it because Samsung has DISCONTINUED this phone! I assume it is because of the battery issue it is dangerous. Stay away from it. I don't think Samsung did their homework with this one and they didn't warn consumers of the battery problem.

my old phone :( the usb port is broken and i can't charge my phone... 2 years and still get supports from xda developer like JB cusrom, AOSP of ICS, Firefox OS etc.

I had my Gio for almost over 2 years.
I keep having the same problem, it switch off and on by it self, where ever I am (home, work or on the road), even when im busy on my phone.
Can anyone tell me what might be the problem?

This phone is a nice fone @list it has swags,but pls whr am having problem is that the phone is always hot anytime i charge it,and the battery runs down evn if i dnt press it.pls what can i do to that.thanks

I had this phone and within 3-4 months it became unbearably slow and had many defects. I would only recommend this phone if all you do is call, not even text, just call. This phone has terrible response to touch. Better off with a nokia 3310
