totally agree with the previous comments by freya and for anybody talking about battery life good luck if find an android phone lasting 2days. as far as this phone is concerned my only complaint is lack of a physical camera button otherwise this is a perfect phone for me.

Where is the gingerbread upgrade for gio? I've had this set since last 2-3 months now. Most of the people around the world have already got the update, why don't they release the version for South asia. It's very annoying..

i think gio is very good mobile in this price range. if camera is not your primary option this is the best phone. about bettery i would say this is not nokia 1100 you are talking about. data connection and running processor do eat up power quickly. Whoever wants to buy and android if you think you are buying this just for calls of messaging just dont waist your money. Android means applications, social networking and games.
So stop complaining about frequent charging and bettery time.

champ, 10 Sep 2011battery life is really bad........u have to charge it every... moreI agreee. Battery life is really terrible. I got my new phone about 5 days ago. I've recharded it 5 times already. My Samsung Gravity Touch used to last almost a week between recharges. I guess, the data link being on all the time takes a heavy toll on the battery. I'll have to experiment by switching off data for an entire day and see if the battery gives appreciably better performance - but then, when you buy a smartphone you will use data.

If you had a laptop and were using it all day im sure it would run out of battery every day too.
