Yes , I know Samsung is providing the same 8 mp sensor , whereas they should offer 13 mp as per competition , but even those 13 mp has image noise , low contrast ( Sony ) issues , that reviews call them similar to 5mp camera ( t2 ultra , Sony zr ) it is more of faulty software issues which Sony is not able to sort out , lg 13 mp starts at 27k , htc 13 mp is now at 24k , which absurdly poor night time capability ( users are comparing it to 2mp night time photos ) , daytime is really good , these negative point is what Samsung has seen and they are overcharging for their camera's. Even other OEMs mistake is working to Samsung advantage .

Yes , grand 2 has poor screen quality , aviv I know it and other reviewers know it but it is definitely above average , only thing competition gives better screen at that price on similar models.

What I am saying in hardware and update , is that now their is direct comparison say with moto g which is said to receive android L with 1gb ram , if Samsung does not release android L with 1.5 gb it will be more seen ( unless they abandon all 1.5 gb models of new Samsung updates ) , as moto g is a popular mobile , i hope Samsung will not take that risk , but will introduce android L ( the Sony base model to Samsung base model comparison does not work as they have different processors though similar in clock cycle ) , this is direct comparison . More ram will make the touch wiz ui not integrating argument diff. As was in case of s3. ( not defending Samsung just my feeling )
Samsung built quality is know to be good agains drop and fall , and I have seen that with grand 2 , quality is not measured alone by Crome colour , or plastic back , but whether screen cracks from fatal fall. All of good OEMs are good in built incl. Sony , lg ( minus nexus 5 ) , I was comparison xiaomi and Samsung , matte finish does not indicate good quality it is just a texture. ( yes , Samsung phones become unusually hot while charging which is not hardware but crappy software issue , I have already complained of poor software quality , and Samsung is notorious bad for that and it is my biggest grudge against them, even google internally likes samsung Software mistakes you know what I mean , but poor customers have to suffer ).

I forgot to mention that gorilla crack is pertaining to fault manufacturing or poor gorilla 3 screen of nexus 5.
Aviv , what I said was I wanted to upgrade to 5.25-5.7 inch , range as I use internet , and emails which are better on screen size. 6 inch is absurd for my taste , unfortunately back then only grand 2 fit the screen , and note 2 was 6k up with weaker processor then the snapdragon of grand 2. I would have like amoled or minimum Slcd.

Other reviewers , it is so bad , people are saying that I am praising Samsung because I have purchased the phone , which is absolute preposterous , please read my old comments and you will know I am critical of grand 2 updates , and not justifying phone for just any reason , what I am telling is basically if any of the aforementioned manufacturers have parts availability , removable battery , expandable storage that Samsung offers , more so Samsung has multiple service centres , does xiaomi , or htc claim good service , or even lg who does not admit the cracks of gorilla 3 screen despite crack in one week , which also shows how good lg service is , infact lg models we desire are available one a dime , the only models available are of Sony , which are equally overpriced , poor camera software ( their 13 mp t2 ultra review ) is we'll know , even 13 mp of Xperia z and Xperia zr has been criticised by reviews. Even some fellow reviews have support for my poor Sony service argument , and yes in india if it is not apple don't expect good 2nd hand price , as mobile phone in android constantly change , let me tell you the grand 2 drop is purely done by Samsung , if price was 21k , we will still be getting offers of 13-14 k minimum , which is now reduced to 10k , anyhow this is were Samsung is fleecing buyers , lg never changes their price , learn something Samsung , you have lost credibility in mind of buyers. Sony has poor 2nd hand sales , they immediately tell if it was Samsung I would give 2-3k more (many people will agree on this )

These are the excuses given by manufacturers for denying the updates.Micromaxs lower performing dual cores support kitkat then why dont samsung's grand neo, quattro and core.
And remember the samsungs thumb rule, no update for below 10k mobiles. And no or atmost one update for its midrange devices.(10k to 25k)
Samsung does this because they bring lot many models every year and if they give updates to everyone their newer models may not be get sold.Because of bringing so many models every year they dont pay attention to their low and midrange device users.This is biggest disadvantage of samsung.
Sony brings very limited mobiles every year so they give support to each one though there is only one exception xperia c.

E.g.Grand2 available at rs.18k so its competitors are those who available in same price range.example experia zr.
1.Grand2 vs xperia zr.(18 k range)
2 .xperia c vs grand neo.(14 k range)
3 . xperia l vs galaxy core.(11k range)
4.s duos2 vs xperia m.(9k range)
You will find every sony mobile is much better in almost every aspect.
(Exception xperia sp overpriced one.)
Also don't compare 8mp camera of grand2 with 8mp camera of xperia l or sp because they are from low price segment. Better compare grand neo or galaxy core's camera with them. Same with the Android updates.
Ace, ace duos, core, s duos , s duos 2, grand neo, grand quattro all were launched at the price more than 10k but didn't get a single update.
While the mobiles from the same price range xperia u, , xperia m, xperia l, Xperia j, , xperia go, , Xperia x10 etc
got atleast one update.
Xperia c is only one exception who didn't get any update in last 2 years.Remaining all got at least one update.
Xperia e1 dual a below 10k mobile got one update now tell any device of samsung below 10k who got android update.
Grand neo, grand quattro, core launched at 15k never got a single update but xperia l, , Xperia m, , Xperia j, xperia sp got atleast one update.
Now tell me how samsung is better at giving updates.
In actual sony is much better.Dont know about lg and htc.
And as I said earlier android updates are not depends on hardware

Grand2 having bigger screen but it's quality is just average.
Thats why samsung always gives bigger screen than what its competitors offers.
Now in quad core 18k range segment competitors either giving 4.7 or 5 where as samsung giving 5.25
5 inch screen more than sufficient.
5.25 inch is difficult to carry.
Science says as the screen size increases chances of getting it damage by unnecessary falls or extra pressure are increases.especially when screen dont have any protection like corning gorilla or shatterproof glass.
Thats why there are many cases of grand2 broken screens.Shame on samsung at such a high price they are not giving gorilla glass protection. May be samsung want to see many broken screen so that they could earn good amount through their service centres.
I would not take risk to carry such a big screen size mobile (without gorilla glass) in my trousers pocket. Because a little pressure could break it.
Always Keep in mind bigger screen doesn't mean better screen

Samsung' s chrome ring colour fade away in few days and handset looks old.
Does its glossy plastic made outer body feels very premium . Definitely not.
Samsung is always criticised for its built quality and design. Have you seen xiomi redmi or mi3? In actual Not on internet.
I have seen. They have mattefinish body which doesn't feel cheap at all.And if you see mi3 it is much better looking than grand 2.
Ergonomically design of samsung mobiles more prone to slips.
Sony, htc and nokia devices are always better in looking than samsung's.
Check on internet experts review about samsung's built quality and design.
Xiomi have expandable memory card slot and removable battery.
Dont compare mi3 with grand 2 as mi3 is far superior.
You can see users rating about samsung mobiles on gsmarena.I haven't seen any Samsung mobile has rating of 8 in design, features and performance.Most of them have less points for design
While many sony and nokia sets have above 8 ratings.
Don't know about xiomi s overheating problem but many samsung mobiles have this overheating issue.
I have used s plus and s3 both of them had it.I had installed 2 xbattery app used to show me the temperature. While charging temperature would go on as high as 49 Celsius if u are not using it and if u browsing while charging it used to increase as high as 60 celcius at which charging used to turn off automatically.

Your talking as if samsungs service centre are really customer oriented and sony's are customers enemy.
Please dont generalise based on one or two experiences.
Sony is known for its bugless stable roms.
Samsung s advance jelly bean update was total failure. After updating almost all the customers felt the issue of serious sluggish and slow system and fast battery drain. And samsung never addressed this issue.
Never bring any stable update.Many customers either drop the idea of updating to jb or downgrade their from jb to gingerbread. This is 100% true incidence check on internet.

In my city resale value of grand2 is not more than 10000.Instead of buying second hand overpriced mobile people prefers to buy new low budget mobile.
In my city s4 is available at resale value of rs.15000, so people have bought for 40k , bearing 25k loss.
Just buying any overpriced mobile in the hope of getting better resale value is the total useless and defensive attitude. Your getting yourself deprived of using better mobile just in hope of getting better resale value.

My opinion this hand set is very costly but i would buy this grnad-2 samsung set within a few days. but am afraid of it doesn't take more time charge. maximum multimedia set won't be longer charge. so, i view Battery should be most powerful which is at least two or three days by taking one time charge.

Yesterday i had an experience when i was playing a game .I felt a shock of current from my mobile . i was holding the cell and it was heat up because of usage. However it was not on the charging as it already had 455 charging remained. As i received the current it meditate drop from my hand . This is the second time happened to me . And the situation is similar as it happened first time 2 months back .Can any body tell why it is happening?

A day ago when i was playing a game on my cell it gave a little shock of current and i through it immediately. At that time my phone was not on charging and of course in my hand and it was heating up because of usage. However it had more than 45% of charging at that time.
This happened to me second time and the same scenario was at the first time as well. Can any body tell why is it so?
