this is a old model but i have this phone since 1.5 years.. best phone of samsung. miner heating,,impresive bettary,,good performance,,0 tym hang problem,,but u have to clear the ram,,just root the phone but dont install any bloody costom rom etc..stock os is best..just root it and anjoy the best phone of samsung.

I have galaxy grand 2 last 6 month. Honstly , I specially impressed with its rear cemra & sound quality . Screen is also good . Rear cam is vry gud . but front cam not gud. battery backup is also not gud .if u want great rear cam &sound quality also nice screen go for it. At the price of 12300 I think its a great deal .guy's don't confused at this price go for it

Anonymous, 03 Aug 2015Is Grand 2 upgradable to Kitkat. 4.4.4? No. This is an old phone. Galaxy Grand-ma 2 super old with no update. Stuck with buggy 4.4.2 forever. Only root can make it young again.

I have the G7102 version(INS) of Grand-2 in India. I am currently on the 4.3 JB version. When ever I try to check for software update thru Wifi, it says I am having the latest version.
Cannot check it using Kies3 as this Kies 3 keeps crashing on both my PC and laptop.
Can someone help how to I then update to the latest version 4.4.2? Is anyone facing this same issue?
