Galaxy grand is not that bad phone. I'm usingit ffor 1 year now. Only thing is that it gets hanged now and then. Samsung should release 4. 4. 2 update to its large number of customers who are using Galaxy grand i9082 phone.

The phone logos like 3G, H, H+ etc are just representations and vary from different manufacturers. EG an iPhone will still show '3G' even if its operating in DC-HSDPA mode. Whereas a Galaxy S III will show H+ when in HSPA mode or DC-HSDPA mode etc.

MSB, 19 Sep 2014The battery is draining toooo much in 3G (shows 'H' in noti... moreHi there if it shows 'H' in notification it means definitely you are not getting '3G' Network. You said network is set as 'WCDMA auto' but there is no such option, there are 3 options for network selection
                                        1) WCDMA/GSM (auto connect)
                                        2) WCDMA only
                                        3) GSM only

WCDMA/GSM auto connect means you will get services as per the available network strength, means if network is good you will get 3G otherwise 'E' 'H' 'H+'etc.

If you want only '3G' Network then select WCDMA only.

For battery drain problem use Power Saving Mode and make sure its ON.
