This seems to be move to counter high-end Q mobile sets with low end Samsung sets. I am using Q mobile V4 and certainly lured to switch to this one. Samsung is Samsung in the end.

Most of the guys have already a bend towards samsung that is why they are unable to understand the real difference. S3 Neo is not actually better than prime. S3 neo has that crappy old Interface called "the touchwiz". you'll face more lags in s3 as compared to prime. The major improvement in samsung's touchwiz interface starts from prime itself. S3 is famous only because at the time when it was launched because there was a monopoly at that moment. There was not even a single better device at the same price. But now whole of the scenerio has changed. Phones with better specs and better user interface are available. S3 neo is just a try from samsung to keep the competition look alive on paper. But people dont know about the interface until they buy it. It has a no. of pre loaded apps which may or may not be very useful. For eg- S voice. Google's android OS already gives most advanced voice command system in every device so there's no practical use of S voice actually. and the most important part is that you cant even delete these apps which is called bloatware. This bloatware affects the performance of your phone very adversely. And that's why people report about sluggishness and lagging of devices.
Only stock android phones are free from bloatware which means lag free performance. these phones are - Nexus devices. All the nexus series is true android series, and the fastest android devices out there. Because both hardware and software complements each other. Not like - hardware is made by some other brand and software is by other (eg - hardware - micromax and software - google)
apple phones are this smooth only because of same reason. Both the OS and complimentary hardware are made by same company.
All i am saying is - ask these questions before buying a device and you'll definitely get what you deserve to have for your money.-
1)On what "Operating System" the device is running?
2)What is ppi and how much is good enough?
3)What is bloatware and is this device free from it?
4)What are benchmarks of a device and what benchmark scores are good for the device of this price?
5)What is stock android and how many devices have it?
6)what should be minimum RAM and Processor specs that will be required for my daily usage (and it totally depends on user interface)
7)what is UI and which UIs in android are light ones and lagfree.
once you get all the answers only then you can tell which device most suits you.

PitbOy, 14 Apr 2015 Grand Prime is better than grand 2. go for grand prime i... morei disagree. i have used grand prime and its so excelent.i never experienced hanging or blank screen. i even have more apps on it than grand prime.the grand prime has processing issues.blanks out.it gives a white screen and the black screen, before it opens anything

Samsung is good. you can use headset when you have a call to avoid a over heat on your ear. maybe its on the way of using the phone. dont over use it to avoid hang issue.

guys dont jst read and believe comments. Ask someone who has used a no. of handsets. Only such a guy can tell the difference.
No phone at this price disappoints but the thing is that when you compare it with other brands in same price bracket you get to know a few major things which prime does'nt offers like -
OTG - which is a very nice feature. Who doesn't wants to get a full time or any time sharing possibility? So pen drive support is necessary. Bcoz most of the pen drives today are coming with a mobile attachment port.
No Updates - until your phone is running on latest software , resale value of phone stands still. Now look at motorola - moto g was launched at 13k almost 2 years ago. Still standing at same price and competing with all the handsets in same price range. Just because it has advantage of latest software. You can't even buy first gen of moto g below 11k in India. While prime was launched for around 15k just 6 months back, now check the price.
3) Cost cutting is clearly visible - No HD screen, No light sensor, low quality speakers, No updates shows that samsung doesn't cares about its mid range devices as much as it cares about its top end, which I think is not good.
Every phone whether its - lumia 730, moto g, asus zenfone, or xperia series doesn't disappoints in performance at this price of over 10k. These all have good performance levels. So all i am saying is that instead of just looking at normal comments that "phone is good, phone is bad" - and deciding whether to buy or not is not smartness. Instead check for expert comments and then decide what are your requirements and if you are ok with the shortcomings of the device. because every device has its shortcomings but its just that some people get to know them after buying and then they get disappointed.
So check for comparing comments not just comments before buying any device if you want to spend your hard earned money on right device which satisfies your needs.

you can upload a asphalt 8, real racing. thas all. 2 games and rest is left only for wats app, other internal videos and pictures which are to be moved to external from time to time.
I understand that for normal user its more than enough.
But for those who love gaming and heavy softwares its very less. Jst 2 major games and thats it.

Hanging and lagging issue are due to full ram. Install apps that can show your ram is the way to solve it. Even Grand 2 sometimes lag and that is with 1.5gb ram! People tend to think this as high end phone but its not. You cant push this phone to hard by multitasking. Clearing recent apps is not the same as clearing ram, it only lengthen the time for you to open the apps again.

grand2 id best smartphone in thise range grand prime is not cool nd user frndly like grand2
i use both mobiles bt i still using my lovely grnad2 its 100 time better than grand prime

Please advise, how to maximize the battery performance as it doesn't have power saving mode like other Samsung phones. It has ultra Power saver and if activates, most of the applications don't work.
