Hello everybody,
I need some advice regarding this grand prime.. i have reviewed the previous opinions about this phone.. and i found it good..
but i really wanted to know about this OTG issue.. everyone has posted that it doesn't supports OTG..
I wanted to ask what those OTG drivers and other different kind of apps (present on Play store) do?
Is this OTG issue cant be solved by those applications??
please guide me as am new to smartphones.. dont know much.. and am about to buy this device

guys suggest u to buy lumia 730 instead. Ambled screen he display and chs screen are deadly..only if prime had amoled or even hd screen it would have been ideal..unfortunately due to poor resolution it looses out
Yes as may not have apps like android but it's a feature rich phone which u will enjoy
Well for note else buy it for the sentiment value, it's the last Nokia phone..from 3300 to lumia 730 ,,,,what years those have been

djkamnj, 13 Dec 2014you are rit,Bt which is nice procce, i guess you are saying processor.
Processor of grand prime is one of the latest and is surely better.
But room for improvement above moto g's performance is very less because it is a stock (pure) android made by google which means it has very less RAM used for already installed apps and this makes moto g a very smooth performer.
But in grand prime samsung has done a very good job by minimizing unwanted apps and using a better processor. So here you wont be disappointed by any of the two.

Anonymous, 13 Dec 2014What about rear camera ????Rear camera is good on both devices. I am an amateur photographer and I've good knowledge of cameras.
Rear camera of both the phones are 8MPX and both are equally good. In the day time you wont notice much difference. But indoors you may find a bit better results in prime. But it depends on photographer much more. If you know a few important aspects then you can click better with other one. So most of it depends on person who clicks it.

viku, 13 Dec 2014whats otgOTG means On The Go pen drive support. which means you can connect any ordinary pen drive to your phone by using a connecting wire anywhere. This wire is very cheap and is easily available everywhere. In fact these days pen drives are already coming with ports which connect directly to charging point of phones. Its an important feature as you can have access to your data almost anytime and anywhere.
suppose you want a print out of some form and you are on a photostat shop where you have printers and PCs but you dont have any access to internet. then simply download form on your phone, then connect any pendrive to phone and take your print outs . its helpful in various ways.
Sometimes your memory goes full and you cant click any more pics or capture videos bcoz of low memory. At that time again you can transfer your important data to the pen drive and free your phone memory anywhere.

prime has no OTG support.
Screen is not HD but its not bad.
Battery backup of prime is better.
front camera of prime is also better.
prime lacks lights on keypads and a notification light. its just because of a price cut.
Also prime lacks a few sensors - like ambient light sensor and gyroscope.

samsung g... moreIf you are in India I'll say you must prefer grand prime because maxx was not originally launched in India and you'll suffer problems regarding after sales services for the device which was not actually launched here. However specifications are good on both the devices. Maxx is a older device indeed and you can still consider it only because motorola has kept it updated from a loooong time. But not recommended in India.
Rather than that You can compare moto g as services are available for this device through flipkart. They resolve all your issues very quickly without any problem.
