Some years ago, i bought a used camera (which is few years old model no warranty).
As i bought with problem, which i knew.
I sent the camera to the Manufacturer's Distributor service center, without receipt/warranty card, etc. Just the camera only.
Without saying anything, they take in for repair, of which i did not ask how much.
Few days later, they inform me the camera is repaired.
Went to the service center and expect to pay for the repair.
Instead, the service staff told me the camera is good, no charges!
This means that there is a problem on that camera which they knew.
I did come across another camera with the same model, without any problem.
So, either the 2nd camera was repaired before, or different batch (Key).

If it is still under warranty, go to the Manufacturer Service Center and let them to check.
As i was Warranty administrator, i did learn a lot from the Manufacturer and how they handle any problem.
There is this thing, call "Batch number" (is stated in the item, phone), which will identify all the parts suppliers. Being in the Technical dept, whenever there is an issue on 1 component the manufacturer can detect who responsible for the failed parts. If the failed parts is true, then the suppliers have to provide replacement (if unable, the manufacturer will get the parts from other supplier.) and include repair cost.
So technical saying, my phone which has no problem, and yours do have problem.
Then the Batch number is not the same as yours. As one of the supplier may supplied the faulty part for your batch, in the assembly line.
Technical speaking, the manufacturer do able to identify the parts suppliers.
Hence, if you send your phone to the service center, which the service center would probably received info from the manufacturer, will able to replace the failed part.

Hence, if you have this problem, then others phones with the same batch number to yours, the users will have the identical problem.
"Batch number" is the main key reference, some use other key for reference.
For example, if you go to setting -> About device.
From here, certain alphanumeric coding. Hence, this is a sort of references, as in most case, saying "For their reference".
Also do note that beside the model, the rest are variants, such as SM-J which also refer as key for each separate version for different countries.
Just click on the spec above, you will see all the variants stated, may include specific countries. There are other info such as, ** version. (** indicate and end in version).
That is why, some have problem, while others do not have any problem; understand.

Most probably something stuck between the screen & screen protector.
Remove all the screen protector & tempered glass, to see if the problem go away. If it go away, then you know the answer.
If no screen protector &or tempered glass, then you need to polish the screen surface.
Do note use those wipes for phones, and soft cloth (to clean spectacles).
Some phone screen surface is very sensitive.

Never listen to these people as they are interested to get your money.
Go to big Retails shops and Telcos as they do not sell imitation or export set, which you had.
During calls, if you put near to your ear, it auto detect and turn off the screen. You need to move away from the phone and you face the screen. Some will auto turn on the screen. If not, then just click on the On/Off button &or Home button.
No phone will guarantee that the phone is water proof. It is due to surface water and timing.

Make sure that the setting in the router SSID is using 2.4GHz only.
Sometime it may take time to get connect.
Just go to setting -> Wifi, and select the SSID & click to connect.
This is why it may take a bit longer time to connect on 2.4GHz which is slow and limited coverage. And sometime you need to go near to the router to (auto) connect faster.
