Cheap Have More Fun, 03 Dec 2015all i know samsung smartphone don't need antivirus or anyth... moreknow your information before you post this because i have the J1 and i have 7 games downloaded 2 360 security lte and 360 security antivirus and booster and a avira antivirus along with other apps and still have enough of space to download tons more so you know nothing about this phone... the ram for the phone is 512MB here but on my j100m is more than 512 and when the phone uses 400 ram out of the actual amount my 360 security antivirus and booster shows me a 89% in red and thats when the phone start to move slow and when i tap on the 1 tap boost it clears the running background app from the ram which allows the phone to no longer freeze.. why do you think these apps are in the playstore..... and besides the playstore hold virus and the internet hold virus and virus are harmful to your phone so have more internal memory does not help the issue so next time you want to post to something commented make sure your tech smart because my daily life style includes technology

i dont know what world you live on but welcome to the 21st century whereby you have multiple solutions to a software set back.. oh and also FYI there are a lot of phone that have a 3GB ram that the phone freezes...I am telling from experience it takes a brain to that is open to look further than just were the problem is but beyond where the issue is to know how to work around the slow issue of the phone....My experience with this phone and my eagerness to search to find a resolution for the slow ram and freezing has brought me to know this information

sss, 03 Dec 2015Im using j1 from 6 months n using it somewhat difficult.my ... moreclean master dont work niether does cm security... it use to work on my galaxy young but on J1
they dont work i am using 360 and it works

Anonymous, 03 Dec 2015the phone has a low a ram so you need to download both an a... moreall i know samsung smartphone don't need antivirus or anything such app to manages it running system. i think it is more of the limited space of the 4gb internal storage that need some breathing space for the already pre installed app to runs, so if you like playing games with the device just download 3-4 games of your favorite, after you get bored with it, then download a new game by deleting the bored one so to keep some breathing space for the operation system.

Im using j1 from 6 months n using it somewhat difficult.my friend also using a samsung smart phone n her phone works well.but my one always heating up n slow down.sometimes it stopped spontaneously.i have uploaded clean master and phone booster also.but i can not satisfied.if anyone knows pls helo me to solve probkems

people the freezing issue problem is a due to the ram. you need to download both and antivirus and a booster so that when you are playing games or anything you can do a 1 tap boost to clear running apps and clear some ram usage so that you can continue to play games or whatever. I downloaded 360 security& booster that way my notification panel has the booster there that gets red when ram is low and then i tap it and clears the running back ground apps and free up ram usage so that i dont have to quit what i was doing

dinesh , 02 Dec 2015this phone is so so so bad dont buy this hanging probla... morethe phone has a low a ram so you need to download both an antivirus and a booster so that when the meory is low you can do a 1 tap boost and continue from there... my J1 works great now

Upgraded to J1 23 August - 10 days later phone not working - sent for repairs as not within the first 7 days. Phone came back and still not working so sent again for repairs. To date am still having problems an d very unhappy - worst phone I have ever had. Vodacom won't do anything about it so have resorted to using my son's old Galaxy Note 2 which still works beautifully.

hanging problems are a concerns of your telco not of a smartphone, in the old days all desktop and laptop used a 512 RAM and it works just perfect, so don't blame the smartphone, blame your telco instead. if you don't want a hanging problem, just use your smartphone on offline activities without ever use internet, even so, by inserting your telco micro sim card will make your smartphone be on exposure to your telco network anyway.

TS, 29 Nov 2015I love my galaxy J1. It's been a great phone.It's a damn phone...it hangs all the time.....worst 512 ram phone....Sony phones with 512 ram performs better....

I have been pleasantly surprised with this phone. I purchased it when my old phone broke and although it is a budget handset (sub £60) it has served me well.
