Lags a lot.Its a $40.00 phone what do u exspect is crappy.Please don't get.I hate it.It's trash.Trading galaxy j1 for a new phone.Also battery won't last.Horrible job Samsung

the phone lags a lot. My nephew did a hard reset, installed the lightest apps (fb lite, and clean master lite). No change, still lags a lot. His gingerbread android 2.3 even performs better than my J1. What seems to be the lag problem? Is it the default apps?

ive had it for 2 years and it did no good for me except teaching me patience, cause the smallest task would take hours to get done on this crqshy laggy phone.... 512mb ram??!!!! i thought we were in 2015 not 1999!! NEVER go for this phone even if youre paid for it

Hi...it's being about 3 months now using this phone...I can't tell what I did to this phone,the features of the phone has changed...the screen is no more coloured but as black and white. The worst part is all my pictures has turned to ghost....I can't view pictures on net even properly....please if anyone can,just help me solve my problem...it's can't be seen at display(settings)...

woooowwww what a nice phone I got Samsung galaxy j1 ace precisely. ...the battery can last,wonderful camera,portable phone.I love it......More grease to your elbow Samsung,keep on keeping on.

In my J1 Mini, when i am in a call, the screen still active. Then, my ear touches the screen and a lot of funny things happens: i activate the DTMF keypad, i put the call in WAIT state, i hang the call. I think is a poor design by Samsung. The tactile screen need to be disabled when one put the phone in the head.

terrible phone. The basic design is crap, volume on one side and on/off on the other, how do you normally pick up your phone?... with your fingers on the side of course, so when you pick it up you either accidentally press the on/off or the volume, on the front there are three buttons down the bottom and touch the screen and it will do something else. It's constantly going off taking photos or dialling someone in my pocket. I set it to take a lock code to stop that happening but the Samsung geniuses made it so the camera icon and emergency dialling is still there when the phone is locked. iphone had the brains to put the on/off button at the top and the button at the bottom is recessed, so you don't accidentally press them. There are so many pre-installed apps that cannot be uninstalled that the battery goes flat within 48 hrs (my old iphone 3 lasted about 4-5 days). It sometimes turns itself off and goes to screen saver while your dialling. I will never buy another Samsung !

samsung is wrost brand in the world. even he spend millions dollar's for research but his every ph look same and feature nd also oprating system also same but desplay resolation is better then other ph but not more then apple brand. .but i wanna stay. if samsung foccus to. make better style of thier ph and also opratimg symbol nd. specially. every samsung ph hve. hanging issue and something. passing problem if they solve tht issues and also. increase the ram atleast 1.5 or 2gb of every samsung model ph and make it well maintained ph who dont make big issues nd optimised all issues buy using ph internal software. who never make ph for hang or or other issues ......... ..... my not to good to expalin but i say truth cos these problems r not rare to hear

Galaxy J1 got 1 app that it cannot use, it is Facebook (original) app, it consumes too much ram from J1, try to change it to Facebook lite, smaller fb.

I was told this would HOLD and RUN my apps - I only have a few! It doesn't! I have moved what I can to the SD card. When the built-in (useless) apps update, I have to go in an clear data! No wonder they gave it to me for free!

I bought three storage cards and the handset has corrupted them all they stopped storing after 1 week HAAAAAAAAA why ??? samsung you need to address this its a big problem when travelling !!

Easily the worst phone ever. I had an SD car from my previous phone and everything saves to the miniscule internal storage and not to the sd card. I am apperantly unable to receive texts because of lack of storage. Not to mention the camera sucks.

Shevvy, 05 Mar 2017I swapped batteries on my phone and all my photos have disa... moresounds like trouble with sim-card. Battery shouldn't have anything to do.
Try taking the memory card out and back in, or test it in another device/computer.

I have had this telephone for half a year. I haven't had any problems at all. A battery charge usually lasts about 2 days with basic use (texting, calling, email. basic browsing), about 1.5 days under normal use (a few youtube videos, texting, email, basic browsing), and 1 day if used periodically with it's camera, movie apps etc.
At one time, the camera activated in my pocket and was on for about 2 hours without going off and when I took it out, it was very very warm, almost hot. I thought the battery might have been damaged due to the excessive temperature but I let it cool down, then recharged the phone and the battery and phone are both still going strong. I'll keep this phone for 4 or so years.
