I just bought this phone (Samsung Galaxy j3 2016) on last Friday, 21 July 2017.
      MY QUESTION IS:
      1. I just found that its take 3 hour++ to charging the battery from 12-16% to full 100% (turn off condition). IS IT NORMAL!?
      2. And when leave this phone on 12:10 AM the battery is 75% (Im sleeping) and when I wake up on 5:58 AM the battery draining to 73%. IS IT NORMAL?

We actually have the same issue on the phone however the J3 from Ph doesn't have that much preinstalled apps .. What I do with mine, I reset the phone's factory. Before I re-download the apps I was using ( I'm actually a Gamer so games on my phone eats like over 4GB of the internal space ) I look-up for those pre-installed applications on settings and disabled them all. Then there I got enough space for my almost 1GB sizes games :D :D

I bought this phone (Verizon Prepaid) because it had an SD card for more storage. My previous one had no SD card. I was excited about the advertised 8 GB internal storage also. I use few games but I do use Facebook, Pinterest, & Instagram. When I received the phone, I activated it, then discovered that out of 8GB internal memory, 6 GB were already used by preinstalled apps, few of which I wanted! It has sorry preinstalled Samsung apps, an NFL Mobile app, which I never use, & a fair Messages app. It has only Verizon Navigator which charges for its use.youxll have to install Google Navigator. Once I downloaded Facebook Messenger & Instagram & our local weather app, my remaining 2 GB of storage were used up! I moved those apps tp External Storage but still only had a few MB of internal storage remaining. I don't know how much was preinstalled by Samsung & how much by Verizon, but it's ridiculous to advertise 8 GB & sell phone with only 2 GB. On the good side, this phone is very durable (I've dropped it at least 20 times with no problems, 3 times in toilet due to it's being too large for my jeans pockets, & it still works! The photos are excellent closeup but I can't take decent photos more than 10 feet away. You'll have to install a photo editor for any editing, though . Phone has none.I get good reception & I like the "extra volume" on it during phone conversation. Battery life goes down really fast when I'm reading ebook on it however. For $90 (whatI paid) it's been bearable but just barely. If you just talk & text, it's a fine phone. Just don't expect to install more than 2 or 3 new apps!

tejas, 13 Apr 2017It takes a lot of time for charging. How we solve it.You wait. That's how you fix your charging not all battery's charge super quick and fast . You are getting the same battery in the s6 for a fraction of the price so don't be impatient

Anonymous, 20 Jun 2017Worst phone I have ever got after having the phone for less... moreAfter two weeks I took my phone out of my pocket to find screen would not work and a crack under the glass that made the screen fuzzy and unable to use. The external glass is fine. As a 60 year old I am very careful with phones and treat them with respect (unlike my daughters who seem to throw them about the room). This must have had and internal fault. Cant prove it. Ces't la vie.

After over 7 months of using the phone i can say it's not as good as it looks
The phone has ok specs, works fast enough in both browsing and gaming but however one of the biggest problems i've had with the phone is trying to connect to wifi
After a week of using the phone i had problems with connecting to my wifi router at home while my old phone connected to it with no problems but other places with wifi worked on the J3 so i assumed something happened with my router, everytime i was away from home i had to reset it when i came back to connect but this wasn't such a problem since the router was right next to me so i ignored the problem until last month the phone started having problems connecting on to any wifi, even data wouldn't connect sometimes
Another problem with the phone occurred about 3 days ago when the speaker started making a buzz noise, i assumed the speaker blew up but for whatever reason when i barely used it and i'm usually with my headphones

AnonD-678519, 22 Jun 2017Opinion after one year using the J3 2016 (FN version) as a ... moreAs a final thought, I know we're talking about a low end device, but around the same price you can get much more elsewhere.

The hardware isn't bad at all but nothing goes beyond the casual user experience - you won't play graphic intensive games on it (but that's OK because first you'd need to actually have storage for it which you don't unless you delete all your apps except the bare minimum), you can take quality outdoors pics assuming you have good natural lightning, otherwise it won't go beyond the average social media snap, the lack of sensors more and more common in devices of any price range won't be a drawback but will still bring some annoyances.

However, the biggest flaw of it (and literally every other low and mid range Samsung device ever) is the lack of software support. Android 5 is usable, but lacks many features (such as using an SD card as internal memory that would solve its lack of internal storage). Apps have more and more features not compatible with it and, worse of all, to this day I've received a SINGLE safety patch almost an year ago. You must be aware of the bigger concerns of Internet privacy and the rise of Android malware, without such essential patches you're highly exposed to cyber attacks

Opinion after one year using the J3 2016 (FN version) as a main device.

Pros: AMOLED screen (great image quality); performs flawlessly doing casual activities (social media, browsing the Web, watching videos), multi-tasking and working reliably without lag; doesn't overheat even under heavy usage; battery usually lasts a full day of regular usage (including gaming).

Cons: outdated OS without any hopes of update, last safety patch dates to August 2016; cheap plastic construction; back camera is terrible with low or indoors light, no matter how much you tweak the manual options; performs badly on heavy resource games; minimal available storage for apps (which leads to) too much Samsung and Co. bloatware (including 200+mb apps); no gyroscope (meaning no Pokémon Go, 360 videos or Google Caedboard) or automatic light adjustment sensors; no reliable custom ROMs to make it up to date.

Conclusion: unless you really want the AMOLED display, this device is outdated and overpriced. Not a keeper or a safe device. Ideal for casual users but not so much for those looking for something to last (if you want so , don't even look at the low/mid end line of Samsung).

Trust me this is the worst phone I ever had.. please don't buy this.. I bought this phone last month.. it was now hanging..less memory... And very soft display which can easily break..
Never trust Samsung j 3 series.. I have used many Samsung mobiles
                                      But this one is worst..
