sometimes upgrading or updating make the phone not to work properly. in that case i perform factory reset

I had this phone for only 5 months , and without any reason my microphone stopped working it's a decent phone for the price but this microphone problem is a big problem , not only my phone but my two friends had this problem on their j3 and j3 pro and the same, it happened without any reason , i advice you to stay away from the J series since this microphone problem happened to a lot of people

After uograding operati g system to Android 9, the GPS could not be found and I could not use Google Maps, Strava etc. Anyone woth similar problem?

Changing the phone's name (optional) & the phone's network name (optional):
Changing the phone's name:
go to SETTINGS > ABOUT PHONE > you'll see the phone's name and, if there is below the name option EDIT, click on EDIT: delete the phone's name & enters yours
Changing the phone's network name:
* Turn on MOBILE HOTSPOT & TETHERING
* on the top right, there are 3 vertical dots, click on this
* a dialog box: ALLOWED DEVICES > CONFIGURE MOBILE HOTSPOT = click on this
* on NETWORK NAME, delete the one given and write yours
* (optional) on PASSWORD, delete the one given and write yours

You can avoid touching the physical buttons:
SETTINGS > Accessibility > Interaction & dexterity > turn on the "ASSISTANT MENU" (a circle with 4 dots pops up at the right side of the screen) = there is (among others) a button for:
* SCREENSHOT --instead of pressing "vol. down & power"--.
* SCREEN OFF ("LOCK" ; "LOCK SCREEN")
* on "phone options" = SHUT DOWN (POWER OFF); RESTART; EMERGENCY MODE --instead of press power button--.
* on "menu settings" button = TURN OFF ASSISTANT MENU --instead of press power & vol. up physical buttons--. You can turn on ASSISTANT MENU before SCREEN OFF, quickly: just go to "RECENTS"
# Download app for wake screen & you avoid touching all physical buttons
# It's possible to attach DOKs because this phone features DOK otg, so you can download data to a DOK
# It works on J4 too

Saving power (battery) J4:
SETTINGS > DEVICE MAINTENANCE > BATTERY > ALWAYS SLEEPING APPS = Select apps that will never be able to run in the background. These apps may not receive updates or send you notifications.
On A10:
SETTINGS > DEVICE CARE > BATTERY > SETTINGS (3 dots on top right) = SLEEPING APPS = Select apps that will never be able to run in the background. These apps may not receive updates or send you notifications.

Now im not happy with this phone after the update cz the battery is draining so fast,i went to settings to stop all background apps bt still its not helping and the mic for the phone is not working,cant play music thru headset it will stop automatic

The J4 has released a new update this year (2019) to solve this bug... I suggest you update your device to latest Oreo.
If for some reason you cannot detect a recent update then there is another solution. Go onto Apps
Delete the "Game Optimizing Service" -- This has been causing the instability of playing games...
