too much slow for my liking and space is so little. I was using the Xiaomi Redmi 4a phone before this one and God the difference is so huge. I don't have pictures and videos on my phone but it's already full just by it's apps. please help me fellows.

Samsung Galaxy J5 is great phone. It has a HD SUPER AMOLED which is nice for watching movies and other videos.

former user of J5, 14 May 2018I tried it, it burned my device.In such a situation I tried Samsung Kies and restored my official rom. In other options you could try using a different bootloader with odin since some roms require the older lolipop bootloader.

I have a challenge with this mobile phone sometimes it does not detect the sim (both sim)and after sometimes it will detected them.

former user of J5, 14 May 2018I tried it, it burned my device.What did you use? I used twrp and supersu to root it and Odin. You ran out of luck. Is your device dead like bricked?

Root it to get rid of that bloatware you will thank me later. I haven't tested a custom rom though. Has anyone used otg on this phone? I tried using it but the phone doesn't detect otg cable.

No nouget update, its only on J5 2016 updating.
Very slow phone, u barely can install app, because it is already full of bloatware taking spaae to the maxx after you install it first time. Go for J5 2017.

I am very disappointed: worse buy ever!
The Samsung J5 advertised 8gb - although the phone came with standard 7gb applications installed - hence you are unable to install any other applications. Two months later the camera takes pictures and when you want to open them - the file is not supported.
I've tried all avenues to fix this, although no joy. Waste of time and money
