Nougat 7.1.1 is the last major update for J5 2016 . There is no new update for this phone. J5 2016 don't receve Oreo 8.0. It's not clear if J7 2016 gets upgraded to 8.0 Oreo.

After 2 months of nougat i can say that battery life is same. And works faster. Only thing i noticed is the animation when you open phone dial or contacts the animation makes it open slower. But its smooth.

To everybody who has problems with battery life in Nougat 7.1.1, backup your data, factory reset phone and within 4-7 days it will be OK. Hope I helped. You can give it a try!
