I had very bad experience with samsung J5 prime, it gets hang every time & then pin number gets locked..does not accept the pin number which as set.. within 3 months time it was locked twice

If Samsung Galaxy j5 prime gets hanged.
Do nothing just wait for the total discharge of the battery.
Normally its takes 20 - 21 hours to discharge a 100% battery.
After it discharges it will shut down.
Then charge your phone normally and then start it again
My case it was 40 % battery which discharged in 7 hours .
And when i did the above steps it worked. Hope this help you too.

Try holding volume down + power button - This should shut your phone down.

Where can I get this phone in the US I have looked everywhere and the only place that has it is best buy but they are sold out of them

Samsung galaxy j5 is superb phone but one problem is there which we noticed in no of phones
Blinking of screen
Otherwise its a best phone
Sometimes screen becomes blinking but acc to me its manufacture fault
