After recent 33mb update..battery seems to be okay.. battery drain seems to be controlled.. observed only 1% battery drain in overnight..previously it was 8%.. still needed improvements.. hope samsung will provide another update to solve all these buggs...

those who have nougat battery drain problem.. please try to install app like gsam battery monitor and analyse which app or service eat the battery

Anonymous, 23 Sep 2017I am also facing battery drain problem after nougat update ... moreBackup all ur apps and do a factory reset.Try using Samsung Cloud Backup to save ur data(A samsung account will be required for this)and once u reset ur device you will be asked to login/sign up to your Samsung account,then boom you should get all your data,apps,music...all you have(Of course you choose what to sync and back up.And yeah an internet connection will be required)
I hope this solves a thing.You can also use Google Backup but it's not that efficient as Samsung backup is.

I am also facing battery drain problem after nougat update even after 33 mb update no any improvement in battery backup in Indian variant.i did not factory reset after nougat update and not able to reset it in future due to business related apps in my phone and also people are saying battery still drain after factory reset.also my original charger takes 1 day to full charge my phone so I am using a 75rs charger for my 16k price smartphone but this local charger charge my phone very fast.will 75rs charger decreasing my phone battery.if yes then I have no other way to buy an original charger because I live in a rural area where we find anything very hardly.thnx to read my comment.

During usage battery drains 8% for 1hr usage not games !! First it use to be 4 to 5% !

Hi , I'm from India after 33MB still battery draining fast when ever i keep battery in MID power savings mode with 0 brightness battery discharge 2% per hr , others folder in internal storage contains 250MB , battery drains even phone is idle hope manufacturer sends another update !!

This is getting ridiculous still no update to SL and othe small market's. SAMSUNG was able to push the Android N to big country like India one month back and even solve the bug and battery issue though a second update .shame on u. Hope the update arrives before the holiday season lol

SOLUTION TO BATTERY DRAIN PROBLEM:
If you have nougat:
-Charge with the right charger and/or a good charger
-Close all battery drain apps from Device Maintrance
If none of this works wait for a 33MB+ Small software update and get it,it's a bugfix to all the nougat issues.Then after updating do the same.If none of this works do a factory reset after the update,and boom that should fix it :-)
