I received an update of 14mb n something 3 weeks ago. But i update yesterday. The question is i dnt knw that this update is for wat purpose? Em new samrtohn user. Can anybody also already received this 14 mb update?

I bought the phone upgraded already. I chose this because the battery is removable. This phone works good for me and I don't notice problems at all. Yes it takes time to charge the battery but it lasts long with heavy usage.. I wished if the screen was full HD. It is a good HD screen. I hope not to face problems in the future.

I been using this phone for abut 6 months now and overall it's a good phone. But the lack of the light sensor and delayed updates really bothers me. If your are wondering about buying this phone I suggest that you buy an "A series" phone instead.

Its a fantastic phone. But I didn'tidn't gets any update for two months so far . Last update I got is November 1 2016. Did they stop supporting j7 2016. I am from India

I run g... moreits really a good device.camera is sperb. display 264 ppi is low but with a super amoled it looks good. it can handle the games very well there is no lag. j7 prime is also a good buy but if you need a good camera and better display you should go with j7(2016).
the cons are-
1) battery backup
2) display
3) sleek design(7.8mm)thin
4) octacore exynos 7850 processor
5) balanced performance with 2gb ram
6) runs high end games well
7) ram management is good
cons-
1) no fingerprint scanner
2) there should be 1gb more ram at this price bracket

yeah when i switched the network to 3g/2g. the drainage of cell standyby reduced to 11% also i turned off the loctioj settings. yes u r right i actually live in an area which have poor cellular reception. thanks for ur response. ur suggestions worked for me

I never gonna update this phone. Scary feedbacks day by day. No any issues. Only problem for me is battery charge fully in less than hour and it will last for 2-3 days without any problem.

Anonymous, 11 Feb 2017Why no updates in india from two months?Same here in Croatia. Last one I got was in December, when I bought my phone. I turned it on for the first time and there was an update. It was around 250mb as far as I remember, so it was probably December security update or something. But when you think a bit, maybe it's even better if we don't get those updates people got because I saw there are some battery issues when you install it.

It uses a lot of battery when you're in an area with weak signal. You've only got a few options: put the phone somewhere with better signal (may not be practical), go into advanced settings and force the phone to a slower rate (3g / 2g) - this may or may not save power depending on the frequencies in your area, turn on WiFi and use that for internet, and finally, turn off cell reception completely by putting the phone in "airplane mode". If you then enable WiFi you can use those portions of the phone fine.

Aftr updating to jan 17 Sec patch, I noted the J7 2016 battery is get down very fast. Im not user of heavy games, 4G only do is us FB, watch videos, and use whatapp but according to my prior experiance the battery level go down very fast :(

plz anybody tell me how to disable "cell standby". it is draining my batter very fast take away 21% if the battery when i see into battery. mind you i dont have an LTE cellular Connection, its a simple 4g network. and this "cell standby" is draining my battery fast. on wifi its not draining.

I run games like Ashpalt 8 on high settings without any issues. I did not experience a single lag or stutter since I bought it. It's really great device, and definitely go for it. People saying that it lags probably have faulty units or maybe they think of J7 2015 model.

I am second hand mobile seller in mumbai . J7 is very good as compare to (j 7 2016.) . Bcoz j 7 2016 is not working smoothly or getting hang problem. In 100 customer 90 customer saying phone is getting hang . And hanging issu is increasing day by day . So frnd dont go for j 7 2016 . Buy opd j7 or j7 prime.
