Exynos 7870 is crappiest chip-set . Mediatek P20 is as same as Snapdragon 626 used in Samsung C7 pro but samsung had under-clocked P10 for J7 Max. its still better than Exynos 7870 because P20 used a MALI 880 which is flagship GPU series while Exynos used MALI 830 which is entry level GPU ,
General perfomance will be same becasue 1.6ghz octa but in gaming P20 wins for sure.
Price of J7 max is less because it doesn't have Samoled display
internet is full of meditatek haters who use only snapdragon but mediatek give similar performance to snapdragon for less price.

Mediatek is cheaper but performance of MALI 880 is lot better than MALI 830 because MAILi 880 is flagship and 830 is entry level GPU by MALI.
I am using HELIO P10 chipset over Exynos 7870 Chipset and every one surround me get jeaolus about my phones performace when they compare it with their samsung J7 Prime
J7 max using P20 , so it should be better than P10 but NO...Samsung had underclocked the GPU and CPU frequencies , so no guarantee how they will perform.
Price is cheaper than J7 pro because J7 Max doesn't have SAmoled display and have only Samsung MINI pay while J7 pro has Samsung Full payment system.
but surely J7 max performance will be better than J7 pro / A5-A7 2017 series.
One more thing - Helio P10 is considered as same as Snapdragon 625 and Helio P10 is as same as Snapdragon 626 which is used in samsung C7 pro.
while Exynos 7870 is similar to mediatek processor that china phones used in 5000 worth device..so pathetic GPU

250 eur is a great price for a samsung device i am surprised. But them i saw a mediatek procesor and mali GPU so thats the reason the phone is so cheap.
Its not worth the money.

It's pathetic that Samsung is launching several variants of j7 after the success of the old j7. Just like they did in past by launching dozens of calm shells followed by dozens of sliders with minor differences. And j7 max is nothing but a downgraded note 3

Don't you people think Samsung had enough of the same chips???
I know you will say that Mediatek is crap, but you're asking the wrong question. We all know that Samsung has its own chips, if it decides to opt for a "crappy" (according to most users) external chipset, there got to be a good reason for that!
Always analyze before criticizing ... ;)
