If you carry it from India, definitely you will face the connectivity problems related to 4g. J7 prime supports the following 2g & 3g frequency bands of USA, but not 4g.
The following frequency bands are primarily used in USA:
2g GSM 850, 1900.
3g UMTS 850, 1900, 1700.
4g LTE 1700, 1900.
And to avoid the REGION LOCK, make sure that you use the device for a certain period of time in India.

So, you should not face any network issue using both Indian and US SIM cards. I heard lot about Matrix SIM cards which are used in different countries. So you can use those SIMs also. Anyway make sure you buy a 32 GB version at least
As for other devices you can try J7 (2016) ( if you want to use a Super Amoled with NFC) or J7 Max (New series) or J7 Pro (I think it is little costlier). Regards.

Samsung has launched 3 models with J7 prefix. 2017, pro & Max. J7 max already being displayed in Samsung Indian website. It will take a week or two for it to reach the retailers.

According to REGION LOCK, the phone & the sim card has to be of the same region/country. Go to any Samsung service center and they will open the lock for you. This is your only solution.

J7 prime can not handle heavy games even if rooted. J7 2016 can handle because the same GPU is providing only a HD resolution to the display, not FHD like J7 prime. Therefore the GPU still has got enough capacity to render heavy games. Here RAM doesn't matter, it is the work load of GPU matters.

I am not very sure but a... moreMr. Kunal, you can NEVER play heavy games on J7 prime because technically the GPU decides the gaming performance of any device. The GPU here is already overloaded as it providing a FHD resolution to the display. So it has very little power left for the other tasks like rendering games.
