Dfort, 15 May 2017I'm thinking about this phone or the a5 2017. Is it advisab... moreYou can go for any device e.g. J7 Prime or A5 for workout. But you have to use a tempered glass and a better back cover to protect it from accidental fall or sweat.
Also if you plan to use a Samsung device than you should also go for a Samsung gear fit 2 device to use Samsung Health app. This is really a great app which support many Samsung fit devices and track many physical parameters. Regards.

Instead try to go for 6s if possible (or SE if you are a fan of true compact devices) because even though the iPhone 6 is still a beast, the internals are really old thus making the device less future proof.
