As for the device itself, I think you get a normal J7 which comes with 2 GB RAM and no fingerprint which my cousin sister owns. It is also a good device for normal to moderate use. Also got 7.0 for now and will get 8.0 later this year. As for J7 Prime, it comes with 3GB RAM only, so your device can't be a J7 Prime. Anyway, share your experience here. Regards.

I have a Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime. IN the specs of the phone, it states : Comms - WiFi 802.11 b/g/n. Does this mean that it supports 5GHz bandwidth? Cause at the moment although I have a dual band router installed at my residence, the phone does not pick up the 5GHz channel. Please advice.

It's a superb budget phone, I'm using it since quite some months now and haven't faced any issues whatsoever. Performance is top notch and battery life is also great, highly recommend!!

Got my J7 Prime January 15 through Metro Pcs. 2GB Ram and no fingerprint sensor. Not a problem. It's a little early to give a full review but so far I've had no issues. Have the 7.0 upgrade. It's a helluva lot better than the Alcatel Fierce4 I had before. That piece of crap gave me problems two weeks after I got it. I'll be back in a couple of months to give an update.

J7 prime Nougat battery after 2 weeks of update.
50% brightness day time (10% at night), Wifi 24 hour on, messaging and internet surf. no games. 8 hours screen on time (100% to 5% battery)
same conditions with mobile data - 4-5 hours screen on time.
Nougat is fast and better. but biggest 2 problems are battery charging issue and fast mobile data battery drain.

Don't buy it. It has no thermosensors.I have bought it 6 mo back.now it is not charging now .it is small problem. But company service centre is asking 8000 rs to repair they are telling we have to change whole mother board. and you have to pay amount in warranty period. Ucan
