davidvodka., 24 Jan 2018Is the battery good? can it lasts for a day? Yes.. but if you update to naugut battery performance ll b low comparitively. And phone becomes slow. So do not update it.

    My phone still doesn't have the update to Nougat and now there's people saying that this phone will get Oreo later this year. What gives??? Does it depend on what specific model of J7 Prime you have??

      Battery was not good after upgrading marshmallow to nougat so don't upgrade anyone nougat and after that if u downgrade nougat to marshmallow ur flash light and camera working stopped.So don't upgrade nougat.It's my biggest mistake.

            Xeepk, 27 Jan 2018Thanks for reply... Hows the speaker? Is it loud enough?Speakers are good for normal size rooms. Also the Samsung Music app has an equalizer which can be use to alter the sounds. Last but not least the unique position of speakers in the right hand side give an adventure for the user. Overall speakers are good unless you are in a very loud environment. Regards.

Anyway I am using Airtel (both prepaid and postpaid SIMs) and JIO SIMs for mobile data. Never have an issue with JIO network. Last December I visited my paternal village in Assam, which is near to Bhutan border and even there I got JIO network which is a big relief. Anway from next month I will use 198/- JIO pack which gives 2 GB data per day in total 56 GB which is like a lottery to me. Last year I was paying about 900/- for 5 GB data in Airtel and in 2016 I was paying about 1300/- for 10 GB data in Tata Indicom. So, choose wisely. Regards.

                    If you are in a tight budget or normal user then go for J7 Prime, unless you need a Super Amoled screen (colors are sharper, but effects eyes, my father's A5 2016 has it and I can't use the device for the whole day because it of the super sharpness.)

                    But if you have the budget and a multimedia user like a heavy gamer, then go for C7 Pro as it has snapdragon processor, 5.7 inch screen and lots of extra sensors.

                    Anyway no matter what you choose, first take a demo in a nearby Samsung store. Most of the time devices look and sound different when we use them. So, taking a demo is the best option for you before buying. Regards.

                          Thanks for ur reply..happened that the stv 379 i had recharged with the bsnl sim, was for 56 days, but for some reason that stv is not valid anymore and i guess the duration got shortened to 1 month. I recharged with stv 361 and the h+sign is back.

                            sam99, 26 Jan 2018I am having data connection problem with my j7 prime..i hav... moreFirst of all, I have no idea how you are using dual SIM for mobile data at same time. I have used and tried many Samsung devices and a not single device can connect to mobile data using 2 SIMs at the same time. It is a miracle for me.

                            Second, the "Heart" icon can be set using the SIM manager. It can be used to distinguish a SIM from the other. There is no way that the data network signal type can be set to a "Heart" type.

                            Third, You can't use both SIMs in 4G or 3G+ mode unless you select them manually. It is impossible. So, set the Airtel 4G as 4G mode for mobile data manually and the BSNL SIM will be selected as 3G/2G automatically.

                            Fourth, I think your BSNL SIM is deregistered from the device or maybe it has a network issue. In the first case go to SIM manager and select the network manually. But if it is not the case, then do a restart and see if the network comes or not. If it is negative, then contact BSNL customer care.

                            Anyway, don't be panic. BSNL has reputation for bad service, so have patience. Don't mind but I will advise you should port your BSNL number to Airtel or any other network which has better connectivity in your place. Regards.

                                I am having data connection problem with my j7 prime..i have dual sim, bsnl in sim 1 and airtel in sim 2. While airtel sim is giving stable 4g connection, bsnl was giving h+ ok..but today morning..suddenly the H+ symbol disappeared and instead a 'heart' symbol appeared in its place..i tried clearing the cache, rebooting in safe mode..nothing makes the heart symbol change to h+. If i change mobile data to the airtel one, 4g works ok again. Any ideas fellas ?

I never faced any issues with it for last one year and will be using it for this whole 2018. As it will also get Oreo in late this year.

                                        If you are a simple user who doesn't need fancy stuff like VR, Gyro, Dual cam, Compass or 18:9 Ration display etc; then this is a good value for money device. In India, Samsung has upgraded this device and selling it as online as On7 Prime with more RAM/ROM.

                                        But if you need latest features and OS (Oreo) now; then you have a wide choice of devices at the price band. Regards.
