And when your android device is more like your life, then you need a reliable device which will be there when you need it. I still prefer Samsung galaxy devices and old J7P1 died due to my carelessness or bad luck. Anyway, that is my experience and I will share it here. Last but not least I am not here to debate with anyone.

2. Direct access to cloud storage is provided by many almost all major file managers from Play Store. I am using this since 3 years.
3. How many Samsung appliances you have in your home for Smart Things App ??? Smart people use Samsung Phones, but for appliances they prefer LG.
4. Even J7 Prime1 had 32gb variant.
5. Camera is independent choice.
6. Shortcut Menu by long pressing icon is common in all the launchers. I am using this feature since 4 years via Apex/Nova launcher.
7. Yes it will get Oreo 8, when other devices will using Android 10.

the same device.Thanks. Hardware may be same, but I found a lot of new features in the device.
1. Face recognition unlock feature. A great feature if you use glove.
2. Now you can directly access all your cloud storage directly from the "My files" app.
3. Smart things app us useful if you have Samsung appliances.
4. The 32 GB ROM is very useful over the 16 GB version of J7P1.
5. 13 MP front camera is more than enough for me.
6. I am using Google now launcher and noticed one new thing. If I tap in a icon for a while, there appears a new shortcut menu which is really cool.
7. It will get Oreo for sure and may be Android P.
Overall I am happy with my device.

It's a great phone I love it but I'm having trouble with the group chat settings. I can send them but receiving a group text is difficult. When I receive a message from a group chat it is individual not in the group chat. Can someone please tell me how to fix this.

Visit the nearest Samsung Service Center, they will unlock the device. You will need to show them the bill.

I was expecting the J7 prime 2 as good as the J7 prime. But honestly saying it is way better then the previous one. It is like upgrading to next generation car with more advanced features.
I was speaking the "face recognition unlock feature" which is sweet and surprising surprise to me. It works fast and accurate. I wear glasses normally all the time, but I set up the face without the glasses. Still it takes less then a second to unlock the device. It is great feature as when I picked up the device with left hand and press the power button to see the screen, it unlocks the device immediately.
Second feature I found surprising is the smart things apps. It can be used to control every electronic Samsung appliances like A.C., T.V. and so on. So, of you have Samsung set up in gone or office, the. Your device can be a like magic wand.
Honestly speaking I was not expecting such premium features from a mid range device like this. But providing them, Samsung has won my heart again.

Bought it a few days earlier to replace my old dead J7 prime. That is a great device but I lost it because of my carelessness or bad luck.
Anyway it was not easy was to buy a new device because of the many choices in the price range.
My preference was 3GB RAM/32 GB ROM, a proven old processor (Snapdragon/ExyNos), battery at least 3000MaH, display with full HD (1080*1920), 3 slots with one dedicated memory slot, metal build, fingerprint sensor and an easy UI.
I short listed various devices which have either of these features, but not all of them. So, it was very frustrating for me. Then finally I decided to buy J6 and this one e.g J7 Prime 2. But again J6 felt little awakard for me with long display, back home button and no full HD display. So, I bought J7 Prime 2. At least it has all the features of ok J7 Prime and 32 GB ROM to install all my apps together with a better 13 MP front slefi camera.
Now using if for last few days. Feeling ease and all my apps (120 apps) are working great. As for the device it feels premium. Touch is smooth and never feels any lags. I will post a full review soon here.
Also noticed that some new surprising features in the device like face recognition unlocking feature, Brixby home and smart things apps to control other Samsung electronic appliances.
Overall considering my needs, features and price of this device. I will give 8 out of 10.
1 point is cut for the lack of auto brightness feature and 1 is for no blue light filter. Otherwise a perfect 10 from me.
