After installing the latest July 2020 Software update, I am facing the following problem on my M31 phone (model: SM-M315F/DS):
After switching off the phone, when I press the power button, first a round charging symbol is displayed (without any percentage in it), but the phone doesn't switch on. If I then release the power button and then press it again, then only the phone boots and switches on.
Is it a bug in the update or there is problem in my phone hardware?

The signal strength and battery charge indicator on the top right of the screen is very small you could barely see it. Its a problem if you do not have good eyesight.

phone.is.very good,
Camera is very good it's work well in low light too,
But slow motion video is very poor in low light,
This is very bad think I face,
It must be better for this phone,
Nother little problem I face uploading videos on WhatsApp sometimes very fast, sometimes very slow I was restart phone several times, 8 Gb ram but I can't figure out what's the problem was,
Otherwise phone work good 👍

Is M31 casing same as M30s?
How bo'ut battery durability?
Coz my M30s has bad battery usage..
Even for standby it still can't reach 2 day usage..
I'm looking from the specsheet I think it has no difference from M30s except for the cameras & RAM/ROM..

Dear Samsung,
This is with is related to the heating problem of Samung M31 which many users have come across.
As you can observe many of Samsung M31 users has complained about the heating issue but still relevant authorities has not admited this problem and no resolution has been given so far. When an users comment on the heating issue common automated resolution tips such as close background apps, optimize the device, uninstall unnecessary apps etc. send you all.
Please note that you have developed M31 with octa core processor and 6/8 GB ram to multi task and use apps consumer preferences. If you suggested to users not to keep background apps then the device get overheat, it''s not a falt of the user but it''s a major problem of your product. I''m so surprised the Samsung engineers didn''t check this problem prior releasing M31.
This not a problem that one or two customers facing but all the customers who purchased M31 from various countries.
Please don''t sent send unnecessary resolution to cover up your falty.It has been months now users are complaining about but up to now Samsung company have not even open their eyes.
All these user are using smart phones not for the first time. All of them are having experience in using a smartphone. But non of them are buy smart phones to _quotTOST BREAD OR BOIL EGGS OR WATER_quot beacuse right now these are what users doing from M31 with the heat issue.
You all have introduced these kind of community platforms to get insights and concerns of the customers and provide prompt reply and resolution to their pain points. Indroucing products with errors and bugs makes a huge dissatisfaction among customers and which will leads customers to consider other competitors.
Also note that most customers are doing resurch before they purchase a device and people look on these community platforms and their reviews. Negative comments and feedbacks will lose customers for Samsung.
Open your eyes and go back to your drawing books and see what you can do to overcome this problem. No point of launching various models to the market if can''t fix problem like this. If you all fail to do such admit that it''s falt of yours (like Note 7 batteryfalt) inform the customer to return the device and get a money back.

Finally One UI Core 2 5 update for M31 outside India, unfortunately this is merely One UI Core 2.5 & not the full version One UI 2 5 like that of A71, so haptic feedback typing is not available & no much improvement over One UI Core 2 1.
In short One Ui Core 2.5 is only equal to One Ui 2 1
Still is OK since i bought M31 at a very low price & can't expect much.

I also managed to get one during Lazada's 11.11 sale for 48 percent off here in the Philippines. The phone is arriving any time now. Yes it actually sold out within a minute of the sale. Happy I got one to replace my Nokia 7 plus

No One UI 2.5 update outside India, Samsung shouldn't have sell M series outside India if there don't intend to update M series phone outside India, there should just sell M series only in India

When calling does the screen... moreTechnically is on standby, as the screen will turn black when we put the phone next to our ear, once the proximity sensor no longer detect our ear the screen will be back on.
What's you problem, I thought all the touch screen smart phone is the same when making call.
