So they made the A53 worse than A52s and now M53 not worth getting over M52.
Just why release a "new" model if you are still not ready to upgrade?

If you come out you�... moreDude MTK were the worst cpu ever. They existed from the time they put that kind of cpu in phone that try to foul people that are like original.
Sure i understand when Samsung put this cpu on a phone to be the lowest budget ever or at least entry level. At 100$ - 150$ sure you can t care about that. But M5. was kinda one if not the highest mid range from them. You should expect more.

the adaptive brightness is not working properly..in completely dark room, it remains at 40-50% brightness and in moderately lit places, it goes to full 100%. is there any solution to this problem, I have bought this phone just 2 days back.

It could have been snapdragon 870 or so... moreNowadays, the only actual complaint about Mediatek processors is the traditional lack of updates and that Mediatek tend to not release the source codes so anyone can port a custom rom, such as LineageOS. The performance of the Dimensity series is more that good and are also very low consumption chipsets that give you more battery life and less heating. I had thje opportunity to test a Realme 7 5G months ago, with a Dimensity 800U chip, and it was a very capable processor, on par with the Snapdragon 750G. Dimensity 900 should give a performance similar to SD 778G

M series used to focus on battery, with M31 having a 6000 mAh battery and M51 a massive 7000 mAh. That was definitely the selling point, for people that don't play games or need the latest camera sensor, but are heavy users who need a phone with a long lasting battery (not everyone can charge the phone overnight every day). Now that batteries on M and A series have almost the same capacity and duration, there's no actual point in buying the M series version of a phone, as they lower other capabilities as well, such as cameras, and the price differtence is not so big. They will say they have to cut corners to offer 5G connectivity, but that's just rubbish.
