AnonD-16161, 31 Dec 2011Well... It's not so easy, but let's put it this way : quote... morei have to agree, & i practiced the same way on treating my phone's batt.

however, gsmarena was also spot on when they said that GNex has one of the worst screen-size-to-capacity ratios ever.
i also wonder what's the exact measurement of Gnex on that 2100mah extended batt?

nahh.. already selling off my tab plus, will get Gnex as soon as possible..
once 7.7 become avail, i'll ditch one of my s2/incoming Gnex.

will let it known in here :-)

thanks bro, I'm happy to see Ur very confident in your new device.. i hope i will too..

It's not so easy, but let's put it this way : quoted battery life is measured by manufacturer in ideal enviroment, which is never achieved in real life. I don't know what tests GSMArena does to measure battery life, but watching videos will kill battery on any phone within 3-4 hours.
I use it mainly for calls/sms and emails along with RSS. When the battery is new has to be formated. I can say from own experience, that best performance is achieved after 7-9 charging cycles. Many people plug the phone in to charger anytime and several times a day. That's no good. When my phones battery reach 7-10% I turn it off and charge it while OFF. Another things to consider is the signal, and other NFC(wifi,bt etc). These add ons , when ON constantly looking for device to connect, which means battery drain. If poor 3G coverage, then switch to 2G from within Menu. Strangely, my phone has longer stand by on 3G (using Vodafone) compare to 2G. Same apply for my HTC Sensation; on 3G getting about 3-4 hours extra.
Also the Auto brightnes isn't good option. Switch off all unnecessary extras (Pocket Mode, flip to mute etc).Give it a try and you'll see. I am (soon to be "was") diehard HTC fan and wasn't happy with previous Nexus devices , especially with Nexus S. But this one is the real KING.

I installed juice defender on my GN. The battery is last almost 70% longer. The juice defender works perfectly with ICS. It's really great!

you know what, i might just trade my tab for gnex..

you don't need a card slot anyway coz it caries 16/32gb capacity already and that's it!

Nexus performs better ( I am not saying its the best)as it's perfectly harmonized. As they say : Pure Android experience... Go for it, you won't regret. S3 might have quad-core or 15MPx camera, but honestly,I didn't saw big differences from Desire S(single core 1GHz) and Sensation(2-core , 1.2GHz)... I think important is the RAM. So imo, even if you have 2-4 core phone, if low RAM (under 768MB) is no point to get it...
