I protected it with screen protector and case -- the same day when bought... Now my phone is perfect condition... You must take care for your smartphone, if not there are basic phones available...

teju, 10 Jan 2016can this phone survive some drops since the body is made up... moreany smartphone if dropped without a case is prone to damage & every accidantal drop is a unique drop in its own .sometimes even a small drop cud shatter ur phone and sometimes even if ur phone has a big drop it might servive that with out breaking a sweat.
u see all depends on how and on what angle and what surface ur phone drops..be it a plastic, metal or a glass or any other material cause one thing will stay sure i.e the screen will always remain glass.
But I bought the Note5 with a 1 time screen repacement as preorder offer so i am using it without a case mostly. However it did fell twice from my bed and did not get any damage what so ever but yes i do plan to give my note5 a nice protective case spigen has nice protective cases i wud go for them soon.

teju, 10 Jan 2016can this phone survive some drops since the body is made up... moreNormally, it breaks. Luckily, most people get away with a scratch or two. Preferably, get a casing. Not the ugly cheap ones. Go all out with your money. If you could afford a Note5 you should have enough money for accessories. If not, stop pretending to be rich like some people here.

My note 5 (sm n 208)consumes too much battery... whether it is in use or on standby its battery life is only 12 hours... android system drains almost 53% battery.. anybody with the solution?

AnonD-257122, 10 Jan 2016I'm torn between this and S6 edge+ my main concerns are bat... moreyes u cud wait for S7,S7 edge and other s7 models but personaly 5.7" is a max i can take for a phablet but if samsung can offer 6" with the same screen to body ratio then its acceptable & it will take a long time for the new devices to have there initial high price to go normal but check out for any nice preorder offers.

AnonD-257122, 10 Jan 2016I'm torn between this and S6 edge+ my main concerns are bat... moreYou should wait for S7 edge+ which comes in 6" display. Just like someone already said, the edge screen takes up part of the S6 edge+ 5.7" display. With 6" S7 edge+ it will look like a full 5.7" display from the front after discounting the edge screen.

AnonD-257122, 10 Jan 2016I'm torn between this and S6 edge+ my main concerns are bat... moreIf spen is not something u need and u want the style of those edges very badly then go for s6 edge+ but keep in mind the edges takes away some part of the entire 5.7" screen when looking at its screen directly from the front.

Edge plus is all abt style but personally i liked the style of note5's back side more than edge plus back .to know more check out the back pictures sections for both phones .

So even if u are more abt looks u will still find Note5 as beautiful cause its also very stylish on its own.with less bezels and nice screen to body ratio.and slim design.but edge plus is a bit slimmer than note5.

plus u dont have to worry abt sacrificing any screen estate on Note5
One more thing 64gb edge plus is not widely avaialble in every region .

both phones are capable of giving u nice battery endurance .
And both have the same camera setup as well so no big diffrence here either .

But if u can live without those edges then Note5 is ur phone.
see even i dont use spen a lot but it has very nice, extra and useful features which will make u use it every now and then even if u wud not want to.
                        Good luck

Z5p is not at all worth the price sony is asking for IMO.
Check the specs sheet properly u wud find lots of cost cuttings on z5p,No OIS,NO 64gb internal mem option ,No 4gb Ram, small camera apretures for both cameras, rest i will leave up to u to find out.
But i must say i just loved the chrome mirror finished color on the z5p a lot.But Note5 back side is also beautifull

Apart from this it also depends on what all apps u have installed and with what kind of background data settings..display settings like using night mode on certain browsers or using negative colors where white becomes black and black becomes white so u see it totaly depends on user to user , however if u play normal games and ur use is moderate and have nice settings to save the battery Note5 will last very long.
