Anonymouses, 19 Oct 2015Samsung made a power pack for Note5. It is not big and bulky. It... morePower packs are still a poor option compared to a removable battery. Slower and bulkier with a cable... the only advantage is being able to charge other devices.

AnonD-441601, 19 Oct 2015This phone is Shit. Note was great when came out. Note 1-2-3 als... moreExactly. Normal people don't worry or know that there's only about 300 to 500 battery cycles of charging of the battery. The ability also start to decline gradually evrytime you charge. They don't even time their battery life, and just charge with the popular powerbank as often - it's a product deviced to mask that diminishing power hold over time.

Wireless/fast wireless/fast charging accelerates that the battery degregation faster than normal charging. The main point is to ruin it faster so that exactly just before a year, you'll think you need the latest device because it's now running only half the time per charge. Sammy is catching on trying to cash in, because most customers are into status with "premium" build, and amazed about charging "wireless" (NOT!).

Last year Samsung emphasized all about being always not being plugged in, unlike iPhone wall huggers. This year is about wireless (NOT) charging that you still plug in, and an official powerbank? Samsung, get your marketing straight. It's stupid.

I can even see the limited storage of Samsung selling 32GB in most countries and no memory expansion - it's for iPhone user suckers and similar status conscious people, and a ploy to just make you buy a new phone every year because "my memory is full". But yeah, that platinum gold probably is a must-have for the suckers who thought it's the fastest and it comes in this incredible color,

This phone is Shit. Note was great when came out. Note 1-2-3 also awesome but from note 4these phones get better specs but they are much worse with build in battery which cant be replaced or fixed memory. Which is big disadvantage. And theres lots more its not worth a buy.

For example if someone like me spend couple of hours playing games on phone every single day. Battery needs to be charged all the time. Or have to play with phone pluged into electricity.
With inbuild battery this phone gets crap in like 6 months. Then what???

[deleted post]Another satisfied customer I see !

Anonymouses, 19 Oct 2015Samsung made a power pack for Note5. It is not big and bulky. It... moreI actually have 3 power banks, but they stay home to charge my spent battery and Bluetooth earpieces because they automatically turn off so they won't be overcharged. They don't stay on my pocket. And most days I don't want to carry a bag or stuff that thing in my pocket along with my phone.

5000mAh for that will only give you a full charge, and not more. For 1/5th of that volume, I get 100% charge after 1 minute with a removable battery. So, theoretically I can carry 5 extra batteries with that same volume of the "official" power bank of the Note.5 - another 500% of power instead of just 100%.

But I only carry one extra battery for the day for my Note 3, along with my wallet for most days. No power bank, no charger, no wires and no worrying about charging and be heavy in use of even 2GB daily. And I usually get 5 to 6 hours of screen on time power charge.

Anonymouses, 19 Oct 2015Samsung made a power pack for Note5. It is not big and bulky. It... moreYeah, and it needs to be plugged in for at least 30 minutes. It takes me 1 minute to change batteries. Duh.

It... moreBut if your out with your mrs or fancy bit or what ever walking down the street then who wants that ugly thing dangling of the end.dont try and defend built in batterys cus it wont belong before makers realize they have made a big mistake with these,a power pack wont save your battery when its dead in 2yrs time,a power pack then will be like a prosaic leg !

TheNeighbor, 19 Oct 2015Spot on, right? Even for non-heavy users who know how batteries ... moreSamsung made a power pack for Note5. It is not big and bulky. It is quite thin and have fast charging. Don't you watch the new ads? This bad perception on power pack of yours is too twisted. Who have the time to open their back cover and put replaceable battery when driving or walking on the street. very inconvenient. You might drop the battery and back cover and all. Just plug in battery pack. So much easier. Take you 1 second only.

TheNeighbor, 19 Oct 2015Only the people who can actually read. They all say built in battery's is the way forward my freind, but I've never herd so much bull shy in my life, when a built in battery starts depleting after there a 2yr cycle Then What, phone is rendered useless, phone maybe in prestine condition.but try selling it when your do for an upgrade.you carnt tell em my friend CU's they don't listen, removable battery's and SD card is a MUST ! well in my case it is,second markets are always looking for those 2 features because end of day it has to be sold on as a profit,so u will always get that little bit extra cash.think you will agree with there m8ty !

AnonD-22824, 18 Oct 2015Note5 is the best smartphone ritnow :)  The problem with the Exynos chip is that it is almost impossible to use the CyanogenMod ROM or any ROM based on CyanogenMod .need as much to work on optimizing software, and battery life. note 5 a has bad RAM management, the problem is touchfiz, who can not seem to improve. even LG G4 has done better RAM managment

AnonD-424566, 19 Oct 2015I agree what you say about the replaceable battery,i just bought... moreSpot on, right? Even for non-heavy users who know how batteries will eventually degrade, can inspect them once in a couple of months just to see if there are buldging and needs replacement. We do NOT need to go to a service center just for swapping out the old battery.

For heavy users, or even for those times there is a need for long use - you do not need to be plugged in. Just charge the spent battery via desktop cradle chrger at home. Simple and more efficient than carrying charger/powerbank/charger pad.

This used to be a problem for iPhone users, needing to carry so much accessories and keep worrying about power charging EVERYDAY. There is no need to ENDURE all of this with a removable battery system!

Anonymous, 18 Oct 2015Would you choose the Note 4 over the Note 5?Note 3 or Note 4. Note 5...HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! They took away the best of the features that blow Apple out of the water. REMOVABLE BATTERY, SD CARD SLOT, IR OUTPUT FOR UNIVERSAL REMOTE, are three of my favorite features of the Galaxy Note series. And the removable battery and SD card slot features have always been two of the biggest reasons for choosing an Android phone.

Motorola made the same mistake with their Droid RAZR a few years ago. While they did still have an SD card slot, they put in a non-removable battery...NOT AT ALL A WISE MOVE. Motorola has taken some big hits to their market share ever since and was later bought out by Google.

SO, MESSAGE TO SAMSUNG!!! :
Go back to your defining characteristics. Go back to the features that made the Note series phones great. And do it fast! I'm talking about an alternate release of the Note 5 with the battery issue, the Micro SD Card slot issue, the IR blaster (Universal Remote Capabilities) issue.

You've screwed up with the Note 5. It's not too late though. WHAT MAKES THE NOTE 5 ANY DIFFERENT FROM THE iPHONES? Android phones and tablets and taken over the top spot from Apple's iOS devices, BY FAR! And you know what sets the two apart? FREEDOM.

With Apple there is absolutely ZERO FREEDOM of:
customization,

creating self-produced apps and installing them on your device for your own personal use (for instance: I created a simple finance app and installed it on my wife's Note 3 and also my Note 3 for tracking our income and expenditures),

Developer Mode: using your own device as a test model for testing your self-produced apps,

Extra storage memory: choosing the size and the speed of the Micro SD Card you want, based on how much money you want to spend (in Walmart you can purchase a 128GB Micro SD card that will work well in a smartphone for around $40, where Apple advertises their prices based on the smallest storage size they offer, and they want an extra $100.00 for each level of storage size you upgrade to; 16GB / 32GB / 64GB / 128GB. And once you choose a memory size, there is no going back! You're stuck with it.).

Battery changing:
Once you're iPhone starts to get old and and battery starts holding a charge that will only last a couple of hours, well.... just kiss the phone goodbye. There is no getting into those things to change to a new battery. (I've had a Note 3 for just under 2 years now and I just purchased a new battery on eBay for $49.99 and replaced my old one and BINGO, the battery life is back to being as beautifully long as it was in the beginning. That's a lot better than having to purchase a whole new phone just to get the battery performance back.)
It's also nice to be able to carry a couple of extra batteries with you to just quickly swap out without having to charge or hook up to a clunky inefficient backup power supply.

SAMSUNG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You've had the competition beat in all of these areas and that is why you are kicking some major butt in the market. Why would you jeopardize that by coming out with a next-gen phone that is worse than the previously released versions??????????

You're not going to find yourself in a very good situation in the future unless you stick with what has made your devices stand out. Just read through the comments about the Note 5 anywhere on the web. People ARE NOT HAPPY and the word I hear most when people are referring to the Note 5 is DISAPPOINTED.
