where is text recognition in smart select ???!!!!!! or OCR, It was first introduced in Note 4 then to Note 3 with lollipop update … now its gone From Note 5 … are they striping the Note 5 from its features or improvements are going backwards I don’t understand, another essential feature was the IR in Note 3 & 4 and it was stripped from Note 5 !!!! i was using it with my D-SLR camera as remote control and the funny thing that its available for S6 variants !!! I bought the 64 GB Note 5 and am a bit disappointed for the previous reasons as well as it suffers from Hangs and lags !!! the lock screen freezes for around 10 sec and you feel you want to break the phone in your hand from frustration of what Samsung offered !!!

90 minutes of waiting? I practice ZERO charging waiting time. My spent battery charges at home while I sleep. You have to do it while you're awake just to guarantee your device will have a charge till the night if your a heavy user.

Yo... moreSealed battery means it has an expiry, and if you're a heavy user, and recharge twice daily, you'd end up with a sealed battery that's can only hold half of its capacity in 8 to 12 months. All batteries degrade.
You asked for this disadvantage? Samsung is figured this out with the way Apple is operating so you'd have to buy one yearly. You're basically a renter of their products, not really the owner.

Excellent device! Been using for 2 weeks. Dual sim (SM-N9208) and it rocks especially with the Knox. You can have 2 full whatsapp account and dual sim always active! Great size, premium built, nice to hold. The stylus is simply awesome. Battery for once Samsung has improved. Now my 6plus, Passport, Mate 7, is in the drawer. LOL!

Samsung has done it again, offer a poor processor in an overpriced device having a battery far from what size should be necessary. Well done Samsung, your rich fans may buy your devices, but your end is near.

Sealed battery is not a problem. But expandable storage is a must for a phone. Storage needs are increasing day by day. we've to accept that fact.
Other than that, note 5 is a very good device.
Another fact :: I've used touchwiz latest on s6, but samsung's UI is not light. Take the case of HTC, the best UI and it's superfast. I've experience with sense 7, touchwiz, timescape, etc In terms of software and interface, no one beats htc. Not only me, many people agree with this

They used to cry and compare it with the quality of iPhone. And now when samsung paid attention to its consumers, same ppl try to stand against it, and want the plastic back again? Want same old stuff back? Just look at samsungs transformation of S6, S6 edge and Note 5. Such strong and beautiful design language. Enough to compete with Apple and other makers finally for its Design part.
So the summary is that if you dont listen to the ppl u will be bad and when you listen to them u will be worst. Social media and internet is letting each person to badmouth everything as its for free and they wont have any loss. Grow up people. Try to be mature and accept things, not being a cry baby.

Remember the whole "Galaxy p... moreI've already mentioned about this conspiracy of Samsung, deliberately making the whole new sealed battery, with no memory expansion, and a supposed "premium" build just to punk critics to shut up. Look at the non-Samsung user reviewers who make videos about how "great" the build is, yet complain about how much fingerprints get on the back glass, and how slippery it is. It's BS!
Let's just be honest about it and say how horrible and useless the glass back is. These reviewers don't actually use the Galaxy Note as a tool. Not one can confess doing really good art, or users it for jotting down things daily. Not one. All they do is scribble stuff and can review it as a useful tool as I've experienced with it, to produce fine work on the go.
I haven't even heard any of these reviewers contest about the inefficiency and backward thinking are wireless chargers, and sealed batteries. They can only praise about how fast charging is so convenient, but never mention how it's going to ruin the battery faster. It's a distorted view about the market of these smartphones and the mass of people don't know better.
They've even facilitated damage control for the flawed S Pen silo storage, by telling people not to do it... Let's tell it as it is - Samsung f***ed it up. No more icing to that fact.
I just hope this just one giant experiment to make people miss the removable battery, and memory expansion. Otherwise, Samsung need not bother selling high-end overpriced smartphones that are perceived to be lesser than pervious models.

Best and worldclass phone. There is no one point against this statement. Only thing i dont like ( not hate) is (not micro sd and removable battery as u guessed), it is the silver color side metal around the black phone( i hv the black one), it sud have been made a black ascent metal. Silver reflection makes it feel like a J series or E series phone sometimes. Another thing, supplied quick charger takes Only 85 to 90 min for a full charge which is exciting, but phone gets terribly hot, i mean it, raising concern of shortening life( of phone). Using a ordinary charger takes around 3 to 4 hrs but its very cool (phone, as well as your life)
Regarding the quality, of touch, display, perfermance, camera they are just mindblowing
Lastly the back is made of glass so, case is a MUST
