Anonymous, 26 Sep 20151 - higher sales don't mean a better device... just look at... moreEven i am not saying that only the higher sales tells us the entire success story however at this very moment the note5 beats even the Sony Xperia Z5 premium and few other highend flagships which is not even launched yet .
But Ppl mostly buy iphones for there simple OS and these ppl do not like to geek much ( like expanding memory or removing the phones battery every now and then lol ) on there smartphone, and that is fine cause smartphone is not ur life, cause life is also more than using a smartphone, i.e they also have 16gb as a base model for even the Iphone 6s and 6s plus.cause they are not only promoting cloud storage but this also means that ppl now a days do not have much time to use all that expandable data and no time to remove the battries etc.
u may love it or ha.te this idea but the world is going in that direction only.
To explain this better I'll give youba example,
Just imagine you give 16gb or a 128gb iphone to Tom Cruise , do you really think it wud matter a lot to him ,cause a guy who is so busy with his lifestyle and has lots of other exciting things to do in his life than using his smartphone.
He may not even use the 5gb out of that 16gb so for these type of ppl even the pony 16gb storage makes sense.i.e all ppl around the globe is getting smart and going towards the busy lifestyle again u might not be one of those but the fact remains.
This is very similer to the ppl understanding the importance of organic food compaired to the food which is processed in a factory.
Means ppl have started to understand that the smartphone techology is all good, addictive, useful and exciting etc in there life but ppl have also started to know that it cud cause lots of health issues.
Thatswhy as "they" say "too much of anything is not always good for you"
& I already bought the 64gb model as i consider myself as a not too busy and not too lazy kind of person so 64gb is just perfect for me.
but yes i can understand the frustration of ppl who do not even have the option to buy the 64gb model in there country rit now.
I bet samsung cud already be working to fix this issue asap.
Anyways I Wish you all the very best with whatever u do, buy a iphone or a note5 or any other smartphone. The choice is yours and it will always be yours*.
but always remember "smartphones r made for us, we are not made for smartphones"
Enjoy.

These guys are going backwards in tech. First we don't have expandable memory on a phone that begs for movie playback. Then we don't even have slow motion 240 on the last 3 releases while iphone did. Only it was pointless on iphone since you couldn't upload it in it's slowmo rate. Just an artificial process rather than a smart render.
What the hell is iphone competitors thinking with this new proprietary garbage that has always sent them customers who don't want that lock-out issue with apple trash?

AnonD-419655, 26 Sep 2015The new Note is garbage. Hands-on in BestBuy in the US prov... moreThe new Note5 prove to be very successful. It sells better than Note4 and Note Edge from last year. Galaxy S6 and S6 edge are even better. Counterpoint Q2 report shows that Samsung is still the King of the smartphone world. They have the highest percentage of global market share worth 19% in mobile phone market share and 21% in smartphone market share only. The rest of the other brands are garbage. Samsung leads the future. Next is now. Its not a phone, its a Galaxy. If its not a Galaxy, its a garbage. Don't buy garbage.

AnonD-419655, 26 Sep 2015The new Note is garbage. Hands-on in BestBuy in the US prov... moreOne more thing all those cheap looking samsung smartphones i bought had a very good plastic material overall good plastic build quality along with the charger and headphones came along with the phones.
Even with that kind of good material they still use to look like a cheap plastic smartphones and thats what i did not like and i bet along with me most other samsung smartphone users either .and j guess that is why samsung fixed this issue with there new crop of smartphones like s6 , s6 edge, note5 & s6 edge+ which has overall metal & premium looking built .
So even the note4 is a cheap looking device inspite it having a very good quality plastic.i.e (note5 addressed the cheap looking device issue). Thats it.

TheNeighbor, 25 Sep 2015You better NOT put any plastic or silicone cover on that No... moreI have NO SHAME in saying that my s2, note2, note3 STILL have cheap plastic construction ( so does the note4) which i do not like even though i bought them cause thats the fact , moreover matters goes even worse if u compair these plastic smartphones with the likes of htc, sony, iphones flagship smartphones ,
dont get me wrong i loved (& still love) the best futureproofing specs these plastic smartphones had when they were launched i.e i bought them but i always wanted all those best specs in a premium looking device. This time around samsung got it right atleast for me and for users who had the same thinking like me.
Btw i am going to get the samsung's official clear glass (transparent) premium back cover esp made for Note5 which is also very slim and also protects the phone well without hiding its beauty
:p better luck next time lol.

AnonD-77443, 25 Sep 2015Whats strange about what i said, I have have always said th... moreChill man i just pointed out that u 1st said that 64gb is a joke and then suddenly jumping all ur calculations of remaining storage space to a 32gb model which sounded like as if u were saying that the 64 & 32 r of same storage space. Lol
But i like what u have said in the (brackets).
Btw even if there wud have been a 128gb model available for Note5 i wud have still gone for the 64gb model.

TheNeighbor, 25 Sep 2015For the uninitiated, and the underpowered users: I use Gala... moreNote5 ain't perfect but there is just no other smartphone better than the Note5 in looks, performance, speed, camera etc
& The very important thing easily available samsung service centers which u dont have to see much cause i have been using Galaxy s2, note2, note3 and bought all of them asap they were launched , even the galaxy s2 has never seen the service center and its still working like a pro, i did'nt even had to replace the battery.
only note2 had a screen burn in but samsung replaced the screen without any extra charges and that too with a superfast delivery .
This time around samsung has fixed the my only gripe with all the samsung smartphones i.e plastic build and no premium looks .i.e bought the note5 asap its launched.
I might sound like a samsung fanboy or a samsung rep,but trust me i am just sharing my personal experience and yes i can also understand that there cud b ppl which had bad customer experince with samsung.but hey samsung was best for me so far :)
Btw note5 is even better than its expensive sibling the s6 edge+.if u see the overall qualities. so did'nt have much confusion while deciding which one to go far ..what to say more.ppl just go for note5 if u want the best smartphone at the moment or wait for the upcoming s7 or lg g5 , htc m9 , xperia z6..zzzzzzzzzzzz....lol

The new Note is garbage. Hands-on in BestBuy in the US proved that. Absolutely nothing special out of this device. Same processing speed, same overuse of RAM, same overheating issues as before and a marginally better ppi (516ppi to 518ppi). Again, this phone is really nothing special as compared to the previous Note. Everything is sealed just the iPhone. No expandable memory and no ability to swap a battery. Terrible idea, terrible design. Not surprised though. I knew the Note would be destroyed when the S6 was introduced and this is the beginning of the worst.

[deleted post]For the uninitiated, and the underpowered users: I use Galaxy Notes pretty heavily, and fixed batteries, no micro SD card slot, and a fragile glass back is NOT moving forward, nor is it innovative.
The "Cheap plastic" of the on the rear of Notes 3 and 4 are sturdier and grippy - glass is not. And what do you do when you get the phone - that's right, you put a plastic casing. Ironic. All I do is put a metal frame bumper:
http://flic.kr/p/nkvP5M
I cast my entire screen with a Chromecast on a TV screen, demonstrate drawing, connect to LTE the entire day - do you think a sealed battery with "under 1-hour" charging can compete with 1-minute waiting time for full 100% power by swapping batteries?
