i just bought galaxy note 5 for myself for 2 weeks this saturday.
this morning, it got knock down from about 30 cms height to my lovely tile floor when i lost my grip. the impact not too hard, but it caused the LCD broken. the touch screen, display were all damage. and it cost me around 120 USD to replace the LCD T_T.
Not as much as they tested in youtube on how they dropped it several times from about 80cms height, and the phone still working...
my old notes (Galaxy note 2) got even more strength in it. more than a dozen time it fell to the ground, but still ok until i replace it with this new one ...
kinda regret in trading the old one with this new fragile note5 ...

S. Korea have the highest LTE "time on" with 95% of the time people are using LTE. We use LTE anytime, anywhere and whenever we want. Cloud storage is purely justified in Korea.

TheNeighbor, 22 Sep 2015That's my question. How many were "sold out"? 10?... more75,000 units sold in South Korea within 3 days. 10,000 units Note5 and 5,000 units s6 edge+ sold in the US within 10 days. Total combine sales of Note5 and S6 edge+ within 3 days upon launch is over 100,000 units. 25,000 units average sales daily.

Yes, 32GB is all you need. That's what customers Samsung wants now.

The only downside is it takes a long time to upload because the service speed is slow. It took me DAYS to upload 10GB of data.

Most newer phones will begin moving away from sd cards as expandable memory due to the constant expansion of cloud computing.
Why save every pic you take on your phone when you could have the same access to those pics anywhere via dropbox, onedrive and the like?

What is the rationale behind removing the removable battery and ext. memory in Note 5 which are highly appreciated by customers, Samsung ?

Samsung is meant to be different, they are meant to be the uber device with every feature possible, the current storage options (64GB and no SD) are pretty poor and more what you would expect from apple.

Samsung answers to Iphone 6 ads. "It's not a phone, its a Galaxy". The latest ads show how stupid Iphone 6 is when it comes to mobile payment because its only work with NFC terminal while Note5 can pay with MST technology. So much for "If it's not an Iphone, it's not an Iphone" because "it's not a phone, it's a Galaxy". Lol.

I bought the note 5 2 weeks ago. It is a very gorgeous mobile phone, the design and feel in the hand is great, although it is big, it doesn't feel big when you are holding it. However, owning an apple mobile phone for years, there is no comparison when it comes to the OS. Android, a complex OS , does have a lot of shortcomings, you feel that they wanted to put every single thing in an OS, but the performance doesn't support it. My note 5, having only few application installed, sometimes it hangs, app response sometimes is a bit slow. In my apple 6 plus, i didn't experienced it. IOS is a stable OS, simple yet powerful enough for everyday needs. There is no real comparison between this two mobile phones. The cameras has its own features, although i like the camera of iphones better than samsung.

With the poor sales performance, someone from Samsung should at least been assigned to read and compile opinions posted on tech sites.
Take note of this opinion:
Note 4 was the last successful device, and going the iPhone way with cloud service and taking out features that the real Samsung power users appreciated will have your buyers go elsewhere. Your attempts of merely bumping the speed, and using so-called "premium" materials will not attract the iPhone users - they're already mesmerized with the "3D Touch" feature, and animated photo function (we already have that with GIF mode and the fantastic function to edit the areas we want animated).
Note.5 will add to the poor performance to the Q4 sales. It doesn't help that Samsung bumped up the price to even above $1000 just so some people can claim some sort distorted sense of exclusivity and possession pride - something Apple is good at with their less useful iPhones.
