My issue is every year I use more and more memory and I just can't predict how much I'll be using next year, like now on my Galaxy S5 I'm already having to delete stuff to make space on my 16gb+128gb memory.

Some people here approved having no micro SD in favor of a better performance but what will u do with a smartphone? Crunch a huge amount of data, write a code or find the zeros of the zeta function? The truth is that users use it mainly for browsing, calling, texting, photos, videos, some on gaming, etc.,and who needs a superfast phone for these activities? The performance of S2 or Note 1 is even acceptable with these basic smartphone usage but they are superior and cheaper than S6 and Note5 in terms of storage. Samsung learn from Sony, return the micro SD slot.

And there's another advantage of having a micro SD, if u happen to get a faulty device since no company has zero defects per million, even iPhone suffered many defects. When your Note5 hangup or any other fault occurs and you need to reset the device, then you will lost precious data such as photos, videos, etc... since reset erases everything, this is where the importance of having a micro SD plays, your data is still intact, some suggest to use cloud, it's nonsense, it's expensive and drains the battery and unreliable. Samsung learn from Sony, keep the micro SD on S7 and Note6.

That removable battery & No Sd card slot statement is over-repeated by you.

Being a lecturer of university doesn't mean you need to write a super long thesis in here. Nobody read this. Even your student. They probably do.zed off during your ultra bo.ring class.

Fixed battery is still accetable in note5 as it provided a more compact and ergonomic design, but no microSD slot is so unacceptable, some here suggest to buy 64GB, that is 100SGD more than the 32GB model, Samsung learn from Sony instead of following Apple, Sony kept the micro SD so u can buy a 32GB Z5 and put a 64GB micro SD for less than 50SGD.

AnonD-441741, 17 Sep 2015People complaining about lack of SD card slot and unremovab... moreMost countries are getting the 32GB version for $850-$900+. The rare 64GB version is about $1000+. Not only is it expensive and limited sales, thereby giving that illusion of being some "premium" exclusive device - lack of memory expansion and swappable battery option turns this expensive device LESS capable than lower or midrange devices? There's something wrong right there.

Sure, UFS 2.0 is more than 3 times faster than eMMC 5.0, however there's little perceivable snappiness and the fact that some of us have been using 128GB expanded memory cards with past Galaxy Notes. 128GB micro SD card is about $75. Samsung could have easily at least have a 128GB version but would have driven up the price way past affordability, and would have cost $1200.

This Note.5 is already considered a flop by many of us heavy Galaxy Note users. Even my Note 8, or the latest Tab A with S Pen is more capable, and they don't come with the S Pen being stuck if you put them in the other way.

People complaining about lack of SD card slot and unremovable battery of note 5 please grow up. Just look at the battery of this beast and have you actually used it, u won't need to replace the battery and the gigantous internal storage would not require further expansion

In relation to stock android, i purchased a nexus 10 a few years ago and was really disappointed with the pure android OS... there were so many features and options that were missing compared with my then Note 3.

Bloatware doesn't worry me on high end devices, i either hide the app or stick it in a junk folder and there is no impact on my Note 4. I ha te the touchwizz launcher so use go launcher instead.

I'd like the latest a new device with the latest most fastest processing, but with all the bells and whistles. Reasoning that this thing is only for city dwellers just doesn't add up.
