I don't see it as special at all. The Note 4 would be more practical and as powerful, and the Note Edge spare battery is rare - that would be counter to the idea of spare batteries being available in the long run.

              It looks pretty, but after trying it from three different owners, they say the $100+ extra for the curved screen isn't worth it. To me, the app SideSwipe is the only actually useful one as shortcut for app launching - but it still works great with any device.

                      Even though I know how good Note5, I can't decide because less feature (No IR, No SD Card, No Removable, No Edge). Note Edge is better in feature.

                      I think it depend on people way of using smartphone.
                      If you use smartphone for many other thing, use Note Edge.
                      Using 2 or 3 battery as swap, can remote other device with IR, the edge screen will
                      show many task, news, or as a clock for the night. Note Edge is area smartphone.
                      Can do many things. Personally I like this phone. So much feature.

                      If you use smartphone for running big task process like a game, use Note5.
                      This phone is less feature, I know. Fragile, Small storage. So disappointing.
                      When I see this phone, It's look like gaming notebook. You know,... gaming notebook
                      have this good design, and fast storage with fast CPU, and smooth GPU.
                      Should I say this is gaming smartphone? but it have spen. Note5 is single smartphone.
                      because it's only focused on performance. for performance, other features is removed
                      to get speed and power efficiency.

                      Haha, Area Smartphone and Single Smartphone?
                      Maybe I think it as a strategy game. LOL

                        Hmm, the reason is when spen is stuck (backward case) you can take it out as easy as one try. Don't force it and pull it. Use "piece of paper" to get it out. :)

Which mor*n will do that? The micro SD card is for mainly storing files. Anyone who knows tech knows that camera saving should be the main memory, and transfer to the card from time to time if needed.

                            Note Edge for full perfect feature (Have Edge, Spen, Micro SD, IR Blaster, Removable Battery, Fingerprint/ Swipe, LTE Cat 4, etc. Combine it with flip wallet to have good looking phone).
                            Note5 (Why not "Note 5", Why it is "Note5" with no space, Is this sign for immediately smartphone? New generation?) for better performance (Exynos 7420 64Bit Architecture, 4GB Ram, UFS 2.0, Fingerprint/ Touch, LTE Cat 6, etc. Nifty with glass).

                            So, what will you choose for your next phone?
                            Note 5 - Performance Or
                            Note Edge - Full Feature.

                            I can't decide it myself. :)

                            I believe the next Note 6 will use the same type (No Removable Battery, No SD Card)
                            I believe it because I can read the sign. LTE Cat 6 and Cat 9 only will be useful for device
                            with UFS 2.0 or faster storage. And SD Card is not fast storage. Especially class 10 speed.

                            UFS 2.0 speed is 78.03 MB/s (Note5/ S6 internal storage)
                            Micro SDXC Card speed is 7.62 MB/s (for class 10, it should be 10 MB/s but,..)
                            Micro SDXC Card speed is 28.11 MB/s (for class UHD II U3, it should be 30 MB/s)
                            Note 4 or Note Edge internal storage speed is 22.10 MB/s.

                            Next Note 6 will also use UFS 2.0 or any other faster storage. So, there will be no SD Card.
                            SD Card make your phone lag with it's slow speed. Of course there is a way for Note 4 or Note Edge to avoid lag by move all apk to internal storage. Use SD Card only to save Music, Film, Photos. If you download something, place it in internal storage after it is finished, then move it to external storage. lag occur when you run many task at the same time. Like running 13 task with SD Class 10 speed? It's slow, of course if you run 1 task or 2 task there will be no lag at all.

                            Why the battery is not removable? Because swap battery is not samsung feature, samsung features are fast charging and fast wireless charging. Swap battery is our feature. It is good to have many battery as a backup and I like it. And I like wireless charging too (for future).

                            When I look at my old box, I get Li-Ion battery 890 mAh from my old phone nokia. It's still good as before and it's Li-Ion, waw,... Li-Po is better. Sorry, it's long statement/ opinion.

So with the Note.5, the Note.5 is even less functional, more fragile, less features, and really flawed with that S Pen design - hey, someone else will put it in the wrong way.

                                    i am really disappointed for the Note 5, i have waited it very intensively. i am a Note fan and have Note 3. didn't get Note 4 because i couldn't find much difference and Note 3 is a very good phone. i crashed with Note 5 with nothing new to provide but less capabilities.

                                    - No SD Card.
                                    - No IR port - i was using it a lot.
                                    - Problem in inserting the Styles Pen
                                    - No removable battery - i don't care much about it but it helps to restart the phone when it hangs.

                                    can anyone use it for sometimes gave us a feedback on its performance.
