Anonymous, 23 Aug 2015I figured out why they can't put sd slot. The phone is thin... moreWhat are talking about? It has a dual SIM version with double SIM tray. Usually, the second tray can also be placed with a micro SD card.
It's really a deliberate move on Samsung's part NOT to implement it at all.

Over the whole note line and year after year, samsung note was always a hit, a rocket, number 1 in benchmark, and the note 5 is just that way..perfect design, performance, camera, functions, and speed. Although i didnt like s6 that much , but i definitely liked the note 5..battery is very good, so no prb with the non removable battery, and if i need more mermory space an nfc sd card will do the work

TheNeighbor, 22 Aug 2015Galaxy A8 Dual SIM version can take 128GB micro SD card, ha... moreI figured out why they can't put sd slot. The phone is thinner than Note4. Yes, thicker than Galaxy A8 but you forgot the curved glass at the back. The curved glass make the side slimmer and thinner which give no space for the internal component. That curved sides might be hollow for all we know. The space taken by the component is smaller than first thought. They want to make a device that can be hold in one hand and trim the battery to make them thinner. Use a 14nm processor and get rid of the IR blaster to give more space for the Spen at least. Every single space in the phone is used to the fullest. Sealed battery is the final touch to make it as thin as it can be. If there is so much space left you won't be seeing the camera bump would you?

Anonymous, 23 Aug 2015I have 50+ GB of music and 2GB of books on my sd card, plus... morethe concept is you use the storage for app and you listen your music online
why wasting storage on music when you can just search and listen from the vast collection of web portals

Anonymous, 23 Aug 2015i just wanna ask,how come the 26GB is not enough for you??w... moreI have 50+ GB of music and 2GB of books on my sd card, plus i need a few GBs of the internal storage for apps and a few more for downloading stuff if needed and a few more for video recording if needed.
Meaning, even a 64GB-model without an sd card is useless for me, while 16GB internal+SD card is just fine.

It's hard for me to accept a non-removable battery for Samsung, since their batteries are not very reliable. Having removable batteries is the only consolation, since I've replaced bloated Samsung (original) batteries in several Samsung phones already. On the other hand, my wife's iPhones, though non-removable, never needed their batteries replaced. I'm afraid these new Notes will cause headaches after a year or so. Ditto with memory cards - the benefits of being able to upgrade to higher capacities and faster cards is just too much to give up. I'm probably going to try another brand while Samsung thinks this way.

Khopadi, 22 Aug 2015Dude removable battery is totally worst i just hate this ty... more@Khopadi Dude sorry I can't understand your comment. A non-removable battery and a removable one is the same technology. One just hopelessly locks the battery inside, while the other gives an option of replacing it anytime with a fresh charged battery. How can removable battery be worst?

AnonD-432679, 23 Aug 2015Man so many ppl loosing it at no SD card storage..
Really ... moreDude whats happens when my phones crashes and it doent come on...will i loose all my data... Maybe yes...but if my phone had a mmc card slot i will just shift it to my new phone and i will have all my data...and u wont be carring that usb cable every where with u
Soo plz guys dont justify the removable of sd card
Best to have removable back cover is also that when i break one or damage it badly u can replace it with a new one and phone is new again...
Soo when your note 5 falls and cracks the beautiful glass back...u have to change the whole body instead of just the back...

TheNeighbor, 23 Aug 2015Yes, Samsung and other manufacturers are happy for complace... morenowhere did i mention that i am all over NOTE5 and it has everything to satisfy everyone..earlier i was purposely praising samsung and note5 and s6 edge+ even for there no sd card slot and non removable battery just to have some fun with u..but whatever i wrote in the last 2 comments is 99% correct.
If u will continue in the same manner i think u will again resort on personal attacks (like learn english, write english what not lol ) than giving valid arguements.

AnonD-22824, 23 Aug 2015U and most geeks here knows what i mean, i dont have to pro... moreYes, Samsung and other manufacturers are happy for complacent customers like you.
Of course they want you to think sealed batteries are better - that's how you'll come buying a new device yearly.
Of course they want you defending 26GB user availability, so they can sell you more data expenditure and pay for cloud service or a higher model.
Of course they want you defending that shiny glass back as best thing ever - the more chances it brwaks.
And here you are rationalizing how cheaper they will be after months later. How ironic you want to spend little for something you value highly and lesser in features.

They removed the extended memory option. Bad move Samsung. I guess I'll be moving to the Motorola X Style. Pure Android with a few extras. External storage. No ugly Touch Wiz interface. Samsung will lose quite a few of their fans because of this phone. Sales will continue to drop.

Man so many ppl loosing it at no SD card storage..
Really OMG - Answer
Go get a 5$ micro usb to USB adapter - How many USB flash drives do you all have laying around, make use of one and plug it in to your phone and transfer some crap off ya phone if your that tight for space.. Sure it's not the fastest solution but it beats complaining about not having an SD slot and solves the problem...
