Anonymous, 16 Aug 2015.... 500 cycles.. 1000 cycles.. Does not mean everytime you... morePeople use iPhones all the time. Those who are complaining the Note 5 is junk due to no removable battery or sd card, that they are power users and need this sort of thing. Power users? Like someone that needs to carry all their media with them at all times? That's not a power user, that's a media hoarder.
There's all kinds of high-end professionals that are on the road alot, travel alot that use their phones as their lifeline for all their personal and business needs and a good majority of them have iPhones. No removable battery, no sd card and they seem to manage fine without it.
But these power users... the ones who need 4k movies and flac music fikes to fill up their sd cards are demanding a bigger battery in what's known to be a business/professional phone (not a media centric phone) so they can spend their whole day watching and listening to crap on their phones all day. That's ridiculous! Go get a media centric phone that has huge batteries and sd cards then. I, as a general user and business user think the Note 5 is just fine and a good upgrade. I bet I'm the majority too.

Anonymous, 16 Aug 2015.... 500 cycles.. 1000 cycles.. Does not mean everytime you... moreHmmm, that's if you really won't be using it like crazy, or NOT use wireless or fast charging. High temperature will also affect the battery's ability to hold charges. Look at the table from B.U.:

I'm not a hypocrite, I'm just extremely sarcastic that you get confused what I'm actually saying - English being a 2nd language and all.
So, there is no 11,000 mAh power bank that charges "30 to 40" minutes...
That'd be some miraculous technology. Ultra fast charging only goes full charging of 3220mAh in about 60 minutes or so. But 11,000 mAh charging in 40 minutes just take the cake! I can imagine the stress that fast charging system can do with present lithium-ion or even lithium polymer chemical composition. Or maybe I'm wrong about it. I'd really like to know about it, please?

And besides, after all that charging.. you still have a huge huge chunk left over. To give you a good estimate.. it takes you 5 to 10 years... more then enough for you to change phones.
I never did found anyone or a major issue that people have with build in battery.

Anonymous, 16 Aug 2015Smartphone with unremovable battery usually have higher eff... more"Manufacturers take a conservative approach and specify the life of Li-ion in most consumer products between 300 and 500 discharge/charge cycles."
So, basically putting in "500" cycles is really highly optimistic. Even so, if we take the number 500 cycles, and if you're a heavy user who needs to charge twice daily, you can count 250 days, ie - 8.3 months. That doesn't even teach you a year. Most sellers actually just give 6 months warrantee like my region.
In the same article states that charging after a 50% of "depth of discharge" shows you can triple the battery cycles. It's also consistent to what I was paying before which is to keep your battery charge between 40 to 80% if you want to get way over 1000 cycles.
Yeah, who cares, right? It's so troublesome to keep maintaining that. That's why changeable batteries come in handy.
Everyone should read the article for Ultra fast charging. You have to actually turn your device off to properly do it.
Again, other than the 80 seconds I take to swap to a fresh battery, I get to use my devices

So I must use the 128 GB storage Note 5 as minimum !!!
But when you have expandable memory you can store whatever you need, also it will be useful when you need to make a backup for contacts, images, videos, music files while formating your phone

AnonD-430264, 16 Aug 2015I keep reading all these complaints about no sd, no IR blas... moreI am thankful some of us agree with the same thing. These people keep bringing 'samsung copy apple' into the discussion table. It gets boring to fight this samsung haters. Even when samsung used to have sd slot and removable battery back then the 'samsung copy apple' thing never stop. What the worst could happen even IF samsung did really copy apple? Its not like apple gonna die any soon. Samsung sales don't even affect apple sales anymore. It just jealousy talking.

Everyone saying it's fine for Samsung to remove features like SD and removable battery because Apple did it just don't realise that iPhone gets updates for longer and much better app compatability, but Samsung always stops updates after 2 years and app fragmentation with Android means apps aren't always compatible and that's why phones like Note 5 & S6 after a few years become completely useless if they don't even give the ability to upgrade to get a few more years out of them.
So basically the Note 5 has all the restrictions of iPhone plus the app fragmentation issues of Android meaning Samsung removed any reason people had making these better than iPhone so you may as well get an iPhone.

Keep defending sd card not goi... moreSamsung aren't thinking outside the box as the only reason they're changing and removing so many features is they've lost a lot of profits the last few years so they now copy off Apple by Making disposable phones that only last a few years since they're not upgradable and so difficult to change battery most just won't bother and be forced to buy a new phone.

I keep reading all these complaints about no sd, no IR blaster, no removable battery, just a big S6, etc.
I've had my S4 since prelaunch. Yep, I have a nice empty sd card slot. Had bought a high-end SanDisk 64GB,loaded it up with tons of files, pictures, videos, etc. Then as the updates came the less functionality I with the sd card. Eventually after about 6 months the card died altogether. Lost everything!
Reality, it's been empty since and I'm running a 16GB version of S4 with everything I want on the phone and no need for a new card. Plus, over the years I've had this phone I've known no one; business, friends or family that even either knew what a sd card was or didn't even bother with it anyways. Most owned iPhone and had no problems doing whatever they wanted with their phones.
As far as removable battery: I've yet to replace the battery in this phone and it still runs like a champ even with live wallpaper going 24/7. Plus I'm always on the road on business and have always had a usable phone. No need for multiple batteries.
The whole IR blaster, I fell into that gimmick for about 2 days. It was cool controlling my devices with my phone, not! Ended up going back to my all-in-one remote and used my phone for other things.
There's a market out there (pretty sure much larger) that can function without sd cards, IR blasters and multiple batteries. And besides, the S6 is a nice phone, so why not have a larger version with more functionality with a stylus?
Galaxy Note 5 (white & black), 64GB... ordered ;)

[deleted post]Li-Po is better than Li-Ion. It hold charges better and have longer life cycle of over 400 cycle. Plus, it is eco-friendly battery. Yes, you can dispose them in the trash with no problem as they don't cause harm to the environment if you somehow able to remove them from the Note 5 or replacing the battery.
